VIDEO: Ilhan Omar under fire after profane attack on America during migrant policy speech

From Fox News: Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., likened the U.S. government’s conduct on immigration enforcement to that of countries like Somalia that she left, saying in impassioned remarks Friday that she never thought she’d experience such conduct in the “god—-” United States.

“I don’t want to curse, but those of us who escaped places like that, the one place where we thought we would never experience this is the U.S. [sic] god—-” states,” she said at a Democratic field hearing in St. Paul, entitled, “Kidnapped and Disappeared: Trump’s Deadly Assault on Minnesota.”

“And we should all be ashamed that it is the United States that is allowing for this to take place, and it is being… broadcast to the rest of the world, where people are calling and saying, ‘Are you sure this is America?’ I am ashamed, and we must do everything that we can to bring back the America we all escaped into.”

Omar, who was born in Somalia and whose district covers much of Minneapolis, has been outspoken against the Trump administration and its deployment of ICE agents amid crackdowns on illegal immigration and fraud in the city and state. With the killing of Renee Good by an ICE agent as a flash point, critics say ICE agents are engaging in strong-arm tactics meant to intimidate the populace.

Omar is being lambasted over her vile remarks.

The White House Rapid Response team shared the video on X and declared, “There is no circumstance in which she should refer to our country in this way. It is beyond disrespectful — it is appalling, disgusting, and SICK. SHAME ON HER!”

ACT for America founder Brigitte Gabriel also fired back at Omar, writing, “Then leave!”

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) wrote, “No member of Congress should *ever* refer to our country as the “U.S. G*ddamn States”. What should be the consequence of saying that?”

Elon Musk replied, “Whatever the penalty is for treason.”

Lee agreed, “That one carries a pretty stiff penalty.”

President Donald Trump blasted Omar in a Truth Social post Sunday morning. He wrote:

ICE is removing some of the most violent criminals in the World from our Country, and bring them back home, where they belong. Why is Minnesota fighting this? Do they really want murderers and drug dealers to be ensconced in their community? The thugs that are protesting include many highly paid professional agitators and anarchists. Is this really what Minnesota wants? The crooked Governor and “Congresswoman” Omar, who married her brother, don’t mind because it keeps the focus of attention off the 18 Billion Dollar, Plus, FRAUD, that has taken place in the State! Don’t worry, we’re on it!

Former Rep. George Santos (R-NY) weighed in with a warning.

“I served in Congress with Ilhan Omar and I am able to state with a clear mind and without reservations that her priorities have always been the Somalis in MN, she has no love or allegiance to the United States. Ilhan has and will always be an immigrant whom has ill will towards the United States. I call her the enemy within and Congress and the DOJ should treat her the same,” Santos wrote.

Conservative host Trish Regan suggested, “Ilhan’s unraveling bc she KNOWS Bessent is investigating the Hawala network carrying $700 million out of Minneapolis airport in suitcases in last two years. He’ll find every penny — including any with her fingerprints. And the UNITED STATES wants every penny back!”

Journalist Amy Mek wrote, “Leave Terrorist – No One Wants You Occupying Our Country 👋.”

“Deport Ilhan yesterday,” urged journalist Paul Szypula.
