Kamala Harris, who avoided practically all media appearances and interviews for the first two months of her presidential campaign, is now claiming Trump is ducking the press and is not fit to serve as president.
And Trump is firing back.
From the Washington Examiner: Vice President Kamala Harris seized on reports that former President Donald Trump is “exhausted” from the campaign trail to question his ability to serve another four years in the White House.
The Trump campaign denied that Trump skipped interviews with CNBC, NBC, and the Shade Room, a black-owned media outlet, because of his taxing schedule, as reported by Politico on Friday.
Politico titled their report Friday morning, “An ‘exhausted’ Trump says no to another interview.” The article made a dig at Trump for refusing to go on CBS “60 Minutes,” and then slammed him for cancelling sit-down interviews with NBC in Philadelphia and CNBC’s “Squawk Box.”
Politico cited an unnamed Trump advisor as saying Trump was “exhausted and refusing some interviews but that could change” at any time.
Trump national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Thursday night that the idea that Trump was exhausted “is unequivocally false.”
“President Trump is running laps around Kamala Harris on the campaign trail. And has done media interviews every day this week. He has more energy and a harder work ethic than anyone in politics,” Politico quoted Leavitt as saying.
HARRIS ATTACKS TRUMP
Harris mocked Trump while speaking at a campaign event in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday, claiming, “He is ducking debates and canceling interviews. His own campaign team recently said it’s because of exhaustion. If you’re exhausted on the campaign trail, it raises real questions about whether you are fit for the toughest job in the world.”

TRUMP’S SCHEDULE OVER THE PAST 24 HOURS
Trump spoke at the Al Smith Catholic charity dinner in New York Thursday night, then went in to the Fox News studio early Friday morning for an appearance on Fox & Friends, followed by a one-hour interview with podcaster Dan Bongino.
He then travelled to Detroit Friday afternoon, spoke with the press on the tarmac for several minutes, and participated in a manufacturing roundtable discussion in Oakland County in the afternoon, before speaking at a rally in Detroit at 7:00 pm Friday night.
TRUMP FIRES BACK OVER RUMORS HE IS EXHAUSTED
Trump took time to speak to reporters on the tarmac when he arrived in Detroit Friday afternoon.
When asked about Harris’ claim that he is exhausted, Trump retorted, “She’s a loser. She didn’t even show up at the Catholic [dinner] last night at the hotel. It was insulting. As they are is soundbites.”
“Today I was at Fox & Friends at 7 in the morning. I then went to two different other appearances. I then made about 15 phone calls. I’ve gone 48 days now without a rest, and I’ve got that loser who doesn’t have the energy of a rabbit….,” he declared.
“She should have been there last night with the Catholics,” he repeated.
Continuing to pound on Harris, he noted she had trouble even passing her bar exam and said she’s not a smart person.

Strategist Greg Price commented, “President Trump did and interview with Tyrus and spoke at the Al Smith dinner yesterday, he then and did Fox & Friends this morning followed by a one hour livestream with Dan Bongino. Tonight, he is doing a rally in Detroit. Tomorrow, he is doing another rally in PA and a town hall in PA on Sunday.”
“This idea from team Kamala that he is “ducking interviews” and “hiding away” is simply divorced from reality.”
