VIDEO: Border Czar Tom Homan reveals bombshell truth about how LA riots started

From the Daily Mail: Donald Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, revealed that the raids that sparked the violent LA riots were not for immigration purposes.

Homan explained that the raids that took place in downtown Los Angeles on Friday were part of a criminal investigation into a money laundering scheme and cartel activity.

‘It wasn’t an immigration raid. It was to service of three criminal warrants at locations based on a large criminal conspiracy that ICE is investigating,’ Homan on MSNBC.

Chaos erupted after protesters clashed with immigration officials across downtown Los Angeles, leading to three days of violence.

Looters targeted businesses across the city amid the demonstrations, which saw cars torched and security forces firing tear gas at rioters.

During the interview on MSNBC’s Morning Joe show, Homan said, “That’s why no one is talking about the Fashion District, it wasn’t an immigration raid. It was to service of three criminal warrants at locations based on a large criminal conspiracy that ICE is investigating.”

“That has to do with money laundering, tax evasion and customs fraud where a company under-declared over $80 million in goods, failed to pay $17 million in fees. And it’s part of an overall conspiracy on numerous businesses that they believe that some of this money is being laundered in Mexico and Colombia, the cartel activity, he continued.

“So, this was a criminal investigation that they all responded to in the beginning. That’s how it all started. But the facts never got out,” Homan added.

He then described some of the charges against the illegal alien criminals who were taken into custody.

Homan also explained during a Fox News interview: “How this riot started is ICE was serving a series of criminal warrants at a business being investigated for money laundering, customs fraud, and serious violations on sending money to criminal cartels in Columbia and Mexico that is funding criminal activity in the United States.”

“We were arresting bad people,” he noted.

Fox News reporter Bill Melugin had also explained how the whole riot started. In a post on Saturday, he wrote:

Per federal sources, despite local claims, there was no ICE “raid” at a Home Depot in LA today. DHS has a nearby office in Paramount that they are using as a staging area. Protesters found it and began gathering. ICE will conduct targeted enforcement around LA today, serving criminal judicial warrants and enforcing final orders of removal/deportation orders.

CBP and Border Patrol have been brought in to provide security and extra bodies, and a handful of agitators have already been arrested today for allegedly interfering with federal agents.

Despite inflammatory statements from local politicians making it sound like ICE is sweeping neighborhoods in SoCal & kicking doors down, they are targeting those who already have a deportation orders or who have criminality that has been signed off on by a federal judge.

If others are found with the targets and they are also illegal aliens, they will be arrested too. This is enforcement of bipartisan immigration laws that have been on the books for decades.
