Vice President JD Vance has reacted on social media to the very nasty public fight on Thursday between President Donald Trump and former DOGE leader Elon Musk.
Vance was sitting in the Oval Office during Trump’s press briefing with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz Thursday, when reporters asked the president about Musk’s fierce opposition to the spending bill he is trying to get passed.
Trump said he was disappointed in Musk turning against the bill, and Musk unleashed more fiery posts on social media. Then the whole world watched as Trump and Musk battled it out, while their once-friendly relationship spiraled down, down, down.
Thursday evening, Vance posted a photo of himself with podcaster Theo Von sitting in a studio, and quipped humorously, “Slow news day, what are we even going to talk about? @TheoVon.”
Von replied, “We will think of somethin.”

Later Vance wrote, “President Trump has done more than any person in my lifetime to earn the trust of the movement he leads. I’m proud to stand beside him.”
