Former President Donald Trump, the 2024 Republican presidential nominee, will not be ending his outdoor rallies, after all – despite an assassination attempt against him at an outdoor rally in Pennsylvania on July 13.
The Washington Post had reported last week that Secret Service officials had encouraged. Trump to hold all his rallies at indoor venues from now on, following the terrifying shooting incident.
NBC News then reported that Trump will stop holding outdoor rallies, citing people familiar with the matter.
However, Trump cleared up all speculations in a social media post over the weekend.
“I WILL CONTINUE TO DO OUTDOOR RALLIES, AND SECRET SERVICE HAS AGREED TO SUBSTANTIALLY STEP UP THEIR OPERATION. THEY ARE VERY CAPABLE OF DOING SO. NO ONE CAN EVER BE ALLOWED TO STOP OR IMPEDE FREE SPEECH OR GATHERING!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Saturday.
