Texas Governor Greg Abbott has once again weighed in on the “EPIC City” which a large Muslim organization was planning to build on the northeast side of Dallas, Texas.
The East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) had announced they were building an entire “muslim city” on 402 acres of land, which would have have 1,000 homes, an Islamic school, a large mosque, a college and muslim retail stores. The group had been promoting the project and encouraging other muslims to buy plots for their new homes.
In April, Gov. Abbott announced that the deal could not go forward, and reminded that he had already signed a law in 2017 outlawing sharia law in Texas.
On Sunday, Abbott responded to a social media post which claimed the EPIC city was still being built. The governor said it is NOT.
“Texas has halted any construction of EPIC City. There is no construction taking place. The state of Texas has launched about a half dozen investigations into this project. That includes criminal investigations. And, the US Department of justice is also investigating,” Abbott announced.
“This matter, and similar matters, are taken very seriously, and actions are being taken to address all concerns,” the governor added.

In mid-February, a video was posted on X by Dr. Yasir Qadhi, a Pakistani American Muslim scholar and theologian, who is dean of The Islamic Seminary of America and resident scholar of the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) in Plano, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.
In the now-deleted video, Qadhi announced, “We are constructing an entire city half an hour from downtown Dallas.” He said it will be a city of over 1,000 people. The website was launched last year, and the entire Phase 1 area of EPIC CITY was sold out within days. Now they are opening up EPIC RANCHES 1 and 2, due to the high demand. The project was scheduled to be built in the northeast area of Dallas, and is all laid out on the group’s website: http://TheEpicRanches.com.
After massive backlash erupted from the public, Qadhi has deleted the video on X. However, it was captured and reposted by other social media users, including Amy Mek, who has been exposing the whole scheme. Below is the video, touting the planned Muslim city, right outside of Dallas.

Qadhi, the leader of the fast-growing “EPIC” muslim group in Dallas, has made no secret of the fact that he is in alignment with Palestine, and stands in opposition to Israeli.
Last week, Qadhi re-posted a comment on X which said, “This is exactly why I would join Hamas if I were a Palestinian in Gaza, and any American who claim they wouldn’t is either a coward or a liar.”
On April 30, journalist Amy Mek posted the following chilling warning:
🚨 URGENT MESSAGE FOR RED STATES:
Texas, Florida, and every conservative stronghold—this is a direct warning. Your state is being targeted. Pay attention. Muslims across America are working together to Islamize red states. Texas is their top target — but they’re running the same aggressive campaign in Florida.
In Florida, they spent years trying to take over churches — including a 40,000-square-foot mega church. In 2021, imams from across America came together to raise money for the purchase, now called the Jesus Son of Mary Center.
Texas imams are helping other states raise money for the takeover. For example, Sheikh Salah Mahmood from the Islamic Center of Frisco recently helped raise funds for the Florida Islamization project.
And now, watch radical imam Yusha Evans — who we recently exposed after he moved to Texas and began working at Masjid Salahadeen in Plano — as he makes yet another pitch for more money.
This isn’t random. It’s a coordinated plan. And it’s happening ALL across red states.
