FROM NEW YORK POST: The mother of the lone gunman who killed two students and injured 17 others at the Annunciation Church and Catholic School in Minneapolis was an employee at the school, police said.
While the motives of transgender Robin Westman, 23, remain unclear, police identified the suspect’s mother as Mary Grace Westman, who spent five years working as a secretary at the Annunciation school until she retired in 2021, according to a Facebook post and a blog on the church’s website.
“She has provided such wonderful hospitality, friendship and compassion to all who gathered for the last five years at Annunciation. You will be missed! Congratulations on your retirement!” the church wrote, according to the NY Post.
According to the X account Gays Against Groomers, “Robin Westman’s parents both “signed off on changing his name from Robert to Robin when he was a minor.”
One X user declared, “This was not done in a vacuum. Investigate the mother’s involvement in transitioning her minor son, along with working at this parish.”
The Gays Against Groomers account also pointed out a sticker seen on Robin Westman’s notebook that showed a gun in front of a Pride flag declaring “Defend Equality.”
“Gender ideology is a dangerous and violent cult,” it wrote. “It must be completely eradicated from society.”
Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said Robin Westman had a manifesto that appeared to show the shooter at the scene as well as “some disturbing writings.”
“That content has since been taken down with the assistance of the FBI, and it now remains under active review by our investigators,” he said.
O’Hara was asked about the shooter’s relationship to the site and whether there was a known a motive.
“I have no information to share on a motive other than saying, again, that there was some sort of manifesto that was timed to come out on YouTube,” he said. “It’s been taken down and our investigators are going through that to try and develop a motive from that.”
Robin Westman died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was not previously known to law enforcement, according to Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara.
He posted a very strange video before the horrific attack. At one point, he displayed hateful messages he’d inscribed on his guns and clips, including blasphemy, “6 Million Wasn’t Enough,” No Escape,” and “Kill Donald Trump.”
