From the New York PostThe pilot of the doomed helicopter that crashed into the Hudson River was a Navy SEAL veteran — and posted chilling video of himself last month proudly flying in the same type of chopper over Lower Manhattan.

“When it all comes together…,” Sean Johnson, 36, posted along with the now-eerie Facebook footage, which showed him in a Bell 206 helicopter.

Friends congratulated him in their comments, with one telling him he was “living the dream.”

Johnson, who recently moved to New York City to continue his aviation career, was operating a Bell 206 on Thursday as part of a sightseeing tour for a family of five from Barcelona. He previously lived in states including Illinois, Virginia and Montana.

Johnson’s video is now circulating on X. Watch below:

Johnson had just updated his Facebook profile video on March 28, with a screenshot from the video:

On March 24, from aboard the helicopter, he posted multiple photos of the Hudson River – the very river where just days later he would lose his life.

From Channel2 Now News: The victims included Agustín Escobar, his wife Mercè Camprubí Montal, and their three young children — Agustín Jr., 10, Mercè, 8, and Víctor, 4. The family had traveled from Barcelona to New York City to celebrate the birthday of their daughter, who would have turned 9 on the day of the crash.

According to a photo shared by the helicopter tour company, New York Helicopter Tours LLC, the birthday girl, Mercè, was seated in the front of the helicopter, beside the pilot during the fatal flight.
