While Republicans have won a razor-thin majority in the House and the Senate, and have President Trump back in the Oval Office, they are in danger of losing the gains they have made if they become complacent.
Meanwhile, despite that a recent poll shows Democrats only have a 21 percent approval rating, they are wasting no time trying to regain their power. Socialists Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went on a rally marathon a couple weeks ago to try to rev up Democrat voters in multiple swing states.
Now Democrat Sen. Cory Booker has broken a record for the longest speech on the Senate floor while saying a lot of nothing, but leftists are gushing over his dramatic performance and calling him a legend.
Booker spoke from the Senate floor exactly 25 hours, railing and wailing against President Donald Trump, Elon Musk, DOGE, Republicans, and the Trump administration.
Booker, 55, said he would remain on the Senate floor as long as he was physically able. He started at 7:00 p.m. ET Monday night, and wrapped up his tirade at 8:05 p.m. ET Tuesday night.
The Associated Press reported: The record for the longest individual speech belongs to Strom Thurmond of South Carolina, who filibustered for 24 hours and 18 minutes against the Civil Rights Act of 1957, according to the Senate’s records.
When Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer told him he had broken the record, Booker insisted he wasn’t finished yet and launched into another long tirade for another 40 minutes.

Booker’s Senate floor stunt was livestreamed on multiple YouTube channels, and the comments were pouring in, as liberals praised his performance, calling him a legend, a hero, and an inspiration.
“Amazing,” “Stunning,” and “Please run for president,” are being posted by the liberal admirers in response to Booker’s wild marathon speech, which was filled with numerous false allegations against the Trump administration.
During the last hour of his speech, Booker recalled his short campaign for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination, in a hint that he might try it again, cited quotes from former Democrat Rep. John Lewis and civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr., and called for people to engage in “good trouble.”
On the Associated Press YouTube channel, over 162,000 were watching the livestream of Booker’s Senate floor marathon as he reached the 24-hour point.
On Booker’s personal YouTube channel, over 117,000 viewers were watching.
MSNBC also livestreamed the event on YouTube, where over 18,000 were watching.
Booker finally concluded by again calling for Democrats to go out and “cause some good trouble,” some “necessary trouble,” to “redeem the soul of our nation.”
