From ABC News: The federal judge overseeing former FBI Director James Comey’s criminal case on Monday granted a request from federal prosecutors to block a magistrate judge’s order that mandated they hand over a trove of grand jury evidence to Comey’s attorneys.
The Justice Department requested the stay earlier Monday after Magistrate Judge William Fitzpatrick ordered the Trump administration to turn over a full transcript and recording of the September grand jury presentation by Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan, which he said included instances where she may have made “fundamental misstatements of the law that could compromise the integrity of the grand jury process.”
Fitzpatrick expressed alarm at what he called “a disturbing pattern of profound investigative missteps” that may have irreversibly tainted the prosecution of James Comey and violated the former FBI director’s constitutional rights, in a scathing opinion granting Comey’s attorneys access to a vast trove of grand jury evidence.
However, on Monday, U.S. District Judge Michael Nachmanoff temporarily blocked the order by Fitzpatrick, and said he would give the government until 5 p.m. ET Wednesday to file objections to the order, and set a 5 p.m. ET Friday deadline for Comey’s attorneys to file a response.

Meanwhile, it should be noted that Fitzpatrick is only a Magistrate judge, and not a federally-appointed by any president nor confirmed by the Senate.
Attorney Mike Davis unleahsed on Fitzpatrick in a fiery X post on Monday. He wrote.

Fitzpatrick–through his highly irregular ruling–is grasping at straws to make his findings that Lindsey Halligan (somehow) did something wrong. She did not.
Fitzpatrick is even pretending there is missing evidence. Is there any basis for his conspiracy theory? They know the evidence against Comey is damning. He lied to Congress to coverup his clear corruption in politicizing and weaponizing intel agencies and law enforcement to take out political enemies–the biggest scandal in American history.
So they are doing everything they can to stop Lindsey Halligan. Lindsey Halligan is clearly over the target. The Justice Department must appeal this fact-free and lawless ruling by Fitzpatrick. The Deep State protects its own.
