UPDATE: Here are the GOP senators endorsing Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader

Sen. Rick Scott of Florida is continuing to make his case for why he should be selected as the next Senate Majority Leader, and so far, at least three Republican senators have publicly endorsed him.

Three Republicans are running for the leadership role, but only Scott is viewed as a reliable Trump supporter.   The other two running for the spot, Sen. John Thune of South Dakota and Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, are considered to be “establishment” Republicans, and conservative Republicans are vehemently opposed to either of them being handed the leadership role.

Endorsements for Scott: Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) have all thrown their support behind Scott, as of this report.

On Friday, Scott announced on X, “President Trump needs a Senate that will back his cabinet, Supreme Court and judicial nominations. He needs a Senate Leader that supports his vision for America🇺🇸.”

“I am running for Senate Republican leader because I believe now is a moment we need dramatic change in Washington to upend the status quo & make sure President Trump’s agenda gets done. Read the letter I wrote to my colleagues back in May👇” Scott said in a post on Saturday.

“President @realDonaldTrump will get to work on Day 1 with executive orders to reverse the disastrous policies of the Biden-Harris admin. As Senate Majority Leader, I’ll work with my colleagues to immediately pass bills & make these executive orders permanent in federal law,” Scott added.

“President Trump has already started outlining a bold agenda that includes lowering everyday costs for families, curbing the drug crisis, and ending veteran homelessness. We have a mandate from the American people to act quickly and get this done to make America Great Again!” Scott wrote in another post.

“Let’s get to work🇺🇸,” Scott declared, sharing a photo of himself and Trump.

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) released the following statement in support of Scott:

President Trump’s massive coattails delivered a historic Republican Senate majority. As a result of President Trump’s leadership, we saw Republican Senate victories in seats (i.e. PA, OH, MT) that have eluded Republicans for decades. 🧵 (1/3)

Any leader of this new majority must be able to work hand-in-hand with President Trump to advance his America First agenda. The Senate must lean into advancing this agenda. (2/3)

That’s why I want to see a Senate Majority Leader who can join me in embracing the Trump agenda, which will unify Senate Republicans. On Wednesday, I will be voting for Rick Scott. (3/3)

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced Saturday, “I will be supporting Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader. The status quo of $2 Trillion annual deficits is unsustainable.”

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) also endorsed Scott: “President Trump needs Rick Scott as Majority Leader to shepherd his bold agenda through the U.S. Senate!”

Friday evening, Trump campaign advisor Corey Lewendowski decided to ask the MAGA world who should be the next Senate Majority Leader.

“Alright MAGA — Who do YOU want to become the next Majority Leader of the U.S. Senate – John Cornyn (TX), John Thune (SD), or Rick Scott (FL)? Reply back with your pick and share WHY,” Lewendowski wrote.

His post has gotten over 20,000 comments, and the response is clear: They want Scott by a massive landslide.

While some have listed other senators they would prefer as leader, literally no one wants Thune or Cornyn.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk wrote, “The people who just gave Donald Trump a sweeping mandate do not want Thune or Cornyn to lead the US Senate. They want Rick Scott. It’s very clear.”

Republican activist Scott Presler wrote, “We all need to support Rick Scott (R-FL) for Senate Majority Leader. Otherwise, it will be a repeat of 2016 & you’ll have Paul Ryan saboteurs. Call your Senators & tell them they need to vote for Senator Rick Scott. We also demand a public vote.”

Political commentator Gunther Eagleman announced, “Any Senator that votes for John Cornyn or John Thune as Senate Leader, please do not hit me up asking for my help with your campaign ever again. You are not worth my time. America is done with RINO trash.”

Earlier this summer, Vivek Ramaswamy boldly predicted that Scott would be the next Senate Majority Leader.
