The FBI in New Orleans has released new images from surveillance footage in the French Quarter of New Orleans, which shows Shamsud- Din Jabbar planting a cooler filled with an explosive device on the side walk, just a little over an hour ahead of his deadly terrorist attack.

The images were recorded at 2:03 a.m. on January 1.  Jabbar is seen wearing regular street clothes in the photos.

He then reportedly left, changed into military fatigues, and returned at 3:15 a.m., as he drove a pickup truck at a high rate of speed through the crowds, plowing over dozens of people who were out celebrating New Year’s.

Investigators announced earlier Thursday that they found two coolers which Jabbar had filled with explosives, and have also stated that Jabbar had a remote detonator in his vehicle to set off the two ice chests.  However, police shot and killed him after his vehicle came to a stop, so the ice chest bombs were never detonated.

“Newly released surveillance photos show Shamsud- Din Jabbar a little more than an hour before the deadly Bourbon Street attack. The #FBI is asking witnesses who passed him on the street or saw this blue ice chest containing an IED to contact us,” the FBI wrote, sharing the photos on social media Thursday evening.

A chilling video shows the moment Jabbar’s truck came speeding down the street, as young people ran for their lives.  Sadly, everyone didn’t escape.
