UPDATE: Effort underway to punish Democrat found texting Epstein during congressional hearing

From Fox News: Conservatives are targeting a member of the House Democratic Caucus over her alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

Rep. Ralph Norman, R-S.C., introduced a resolution to censure Del. Stacey Plaskett, D-V.I., the Virgin Islands’ nonvoting delegate to the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

Newly released documents show that Plaskett exchanged texts with Epstein during a congressional hearing with Michael Cohen, a former associate of President Donald Trump, in February 2019.

Fox News Digital, which first obtained the text of Norman’s censure resolution, was told by a source close to the matter that the South Carolina Republican would seek to force a vote on the legislation by calling it a privileges resolution.

Norman announced Tuesday, “I’ve introduced a resolution to censure @StaceyPlaskett and remove her from the House Intelligence Committee. Her coordination with Jeffrey Epstein during official congressional business is disgraceful, unethical, and an affront to this institution. That’s corruption of judgment at the highest level.”

However, Democrats tried to kill the effort to censure Plaskett, but that has just failed by a single vote.

The House Oversight Republicans wrote Tuesday, “It’s a good day for Democrats to condemn Stacey Plaskett, who was TEXTING Jeffrey Epstein from a congressional hearing seeking advice on questioning a discredited witness with a vendetta against Trump. @RepRobertGarcia & @OversightDems, it’s been 4 days—where is your statement?”

Prominent X user Spitfire noted, “Plaskett met privately with Epstein at his New York apartment to solicit campaign donations, after he was already a convicted s*x offender. Where is the Democrat outrage?!”
