After a Wisconsin judge was arrested Friday for allegedly helping an illegal alien from Mexico to sneak out of a courthouse without being seen by ICE officials, a mugshot of the illegal alien has now been released.

According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinal, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, 30, appeared before Judge Hannah Dugan for a pre-trial conference on April 18 at 8:30 a.m. on three misdemeanor counts of battery.  He is accused of getting into a fight with a roommate and punching the person 30 times in the face. He then allegedly hit a woman who tried to break up the fight.

Dugan, a Democrat, is accused of allowing Ruiz and his attorney to leave through a side door in the courtroom, directing them down a private hallway, effectively sneaking them past the ICE agents who were waiting to arrest him after the court hearing.

DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin posted Ruiz’s mugshot on social media and wrote:

This is the criminal illegal alien that the Milwaukee Circuit judge attempted to shield from justice. He has a laundry list of violent criminal charges including strangulation and suffocation, battery, and domestic abuse. Ruiz illegally entered the US twice.

Since President Trump was inaugurated, activist judges have tried to obstruct President Trump and the American people’s mandate to make America safe and secure our homeland— but this judge’s actions to shield an accused violent criminal illegal alien from justice is shocking and shameful.

We are thankful for our partners at the FBI for helping remove this accused criminal from America’s streets.

If you are here illegally and break the law, we will hunt you down, arrest you and lock you up. That’s a promise.

Update from the New York Post:

A veteran Wisconsin judge was arrested Friday on charges of helping a Mexican illegal migrant evade Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in her courtroom.

Judge Hannah Dugan, who has been on the Milwaukee County bench for nearly a decade, is accused of obstruction of justice and concealing Eduardo Flores-Ruiz from arrest following a pre-trial hearing last week.

Dugan appeared briefly in Milwaukee federal court Friday morning before being released after prosecutors said they would not ask for her detention before trial. Her arraignment has been set for May 15.

She faces a maximum of 10 years in prison if convicted on both counts. It was not immediately clear whether Dugan would be placed on leave during her case.

FBI Director Kash Patel announced Friday:

Just NOW, the FBI arrested Judge Hannah Dugan out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on charges of obstruction — after evidence of Judge Dugan obstructing an immigration arrest operation last week.

We believe Judge Dugan intentionally misdirected federal agents away from the subject to be arrested in her courthouse, Eduardo Flores Ruiz, allowing the subject — an illegal alien — to evade arrest.

Thankfully, our agents chased down the perp on foot and he’s been in custody since, but the Judge’s obstruction created increased danger to the public. We will have more to share soon. Excellent work @FBIMilwaukee.

Attorney General Pam Bondi also wrote, “I can confirm that our @FBI agents just arrested Hannah Dugan – a county judge in Milwaukee – for allegedly helping an illegal alien avoid an arrest by @ICEgov. No one is above the law.”
