The Department of Homeland Security has released chilling photos in the aftermath of a deadly shooting attack on an ICE detention facility in Dallas, Texas Wednesday morning.
From atop the roof of a nearby building, a gunman, now identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, opened fire on the facility as an unmarked van was bringing illegal alien detainees to the facility around 6:40 a.m.
The gunman wildly fired upon both the van and the ICE building. However, the gunman missed hitting any ICE officers, and instead struck three detainees in the van. DHS has announced that 2 of the detainees were killed, and one other is now hospitalized in critical condition.
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin posted two photos showing what was hit when Jahn fired on the building.
One photos shows that two bullets struck a glass frame containing an American flag.
Another photo shows multiple bullet holes in a glass window, directly in front of a desk in the office.
“Pray for the victims of the Dallas Field Office Attack. Like everyone else, our ICE law enforcement officers just want to go home to their families at night. They are fathers and mothers. Sons, and daughters, brothers and sisters. They get up every morning to try and make our communities safer. The violence and dehumanization of these men and women must stop,” McLaughlin wrote.
One X user wrote in response, “Actually the one’s who got hit were detainees, these kids don’t even know how to aim. All this person did was prove that their violence is going to cost lives on both sides of the spectrum. It’s sad.”

Jahn died of a self-inflicted gunshot on the roof. Near his body, investigators found bullet casings upon which were written anti-ICE messages.
