New details are emerging after Vance Boelter – the suspect charged in the shooting deaths of a Minnesota lawmaker and her husband, and the shootings of another Minnesota state senator and his wife – was finally captured late Sunday night.
Boelter was found by a police drone in the woods near his home Sunday night, and ended up crawling on the ground toward police who took him into custody.

Boelter went to FOUR Minnesota lawmakers’ homes.
In a press conference Monday morning, Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson revealed stunning new details, including that Boelter didn’t just go to two homes when he committed his rampage – he actually visited FOUR Minnesota lawmakers’ homes.
Boelter first went to state Sen. John Hoffman’s home around 2:00 a.m. Saturday, shouting, “This is police, open the door!” Wearing the silicon mask and shining a flashlight in the Hoffman’s faces, he told them there had been a shooting reported in the home. When he lowered the flashlight, they realized he wasn’t a police officer and tried to push him out. He then shot them, and fled.
Next, Boelter went to another state representative’s home, but she was gone on vacation, so he left after no one came to the door.
In the 3rd incident, Boelter went to another state senator’s home, but was still sitting in his vehicle, parked down the block. Police arrived to check on the state senator’s well-being, saw his car, and thought he was another officer. The female officer stopped beside his car to talk to him, but Boelter simply sat there, staring straight ahead, so she went on to the house to check on the senator, and Boelter drove away.
Finally, Boelter went to the home of state Rep. Melissa Hortman and pulled into her driveway around 3:30 a.m. Two police officers arrived after he did, to check on her, while he was still outside. He fired on the arriving officers, then shot his way into the front door of the house, shot and killed Hortman and her husband, then fled out the back door.
holy shit — acting US attorney Thompson details that Boelter went to the homes of two other elected officials after shooting Hoffman but before going to Hortman’s house. One cop encountered him at the third house but thought he was a police officer. pic.twitter.com/nWv0Jx8Ocb

Minnesota lawmaker shooting suspect had cache of weapons, hit list in vehicle, court documents show
From Fox News: Vance Boelter, the suspect charged with killing a Minnesota state lawmaker and her husband and wounding a second lawmaker and his wife, had an arsenal of weapons and a hit list in his vehicle, according to court documents.
Boelter, 57, allegedly posed as a police officer and drove a Ford SUV, registered in his name, equipped with police lights to carry out the shootings of former Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, early Saturday morning at their Brooklyn Park home in Minneapolis after allegedly shooting State Sen. John Hoffman, also a Democrat, and his wife, Yvette, in their nearby Champlin home in a related attack.
Boelter left the fake police vehicle at the crime scene in Brooklyn Park after exchanging gunfire with police and escaping, a criminal complaint issued by the Hennepin County District Court said.
Inside the vehicle, police recovered a disturbing cache of weapons, including at least three AK-47 assault rifles and a 9mm handgun, along with a manifesto that listed the names and addresses of other public officials.
So far, officials are refusing to release Boelter’s manifesto to the public.
🚨Minnesota officials are still refusing to release Minnesota shooter Vance Boelter’s manifesto, saying it doesn’t contain anything meaningful.
Why not just release it then?
