From Fox News: President-elect Trump and future first lady Melania Trump paid their respects to former President Jimmy Carter at his funeral in Woodley Park, Washington, D.C., on Thursday, where Trump and one of his most prominent political foes appeared to put politics aside.

Seated at the end of the second row of presidential and vice presidential families, Trump and former President Barack Obama shared several minutes of chatting and chuckling as the rest filed in.

Dressed in a dark suit and more subtle blue tie, versus his trademark red “Trump tie,” Trump filed in a little before 10 a.m. ET.

As he entered his row, former Vice President Al Gore smiled and quickly stood up and was the first to greet him.

Former vice president Mike Pence, seated next to Gore, also rose and shook hands with both Trump and Melania. However, Karen Pence remained seated, and did not extend her hand at all.

Obama arrived after Trump and was seated next to him. The two then were seen chatting several times, including a brief exchange during the service.

Former VP Dick Cheney and his wife, along with Michelle Obama, were all absent.

Former President George Bush and wife Laura, former President Bill Clinton and wife Hillary Clinton, VP Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff, Joe and Jill Biden all arrived afterward, none of whom made any effort to speak to Trump. As they arrived, Trump and Obama continued chatting.

Kamala Harris looked back at Obama and Trump chatting, and appeared to let out a huff.

After the service, Doug Emhoff did turn and shake hands with Trump, but Harris ignored him. Obama shooks hands again with both Trumps in a good-bye gesture, and both George and Laura Bush then reached over and shook hands with Trump.

To put things into perspective, it has been suggested that all the former presidents and their wives may have already been together in a back room, before being brought in for the service. This is unconfirmed.

Lip reader reveals what Trump and Obama were allegedly saying.… as reported by the New York Post, and also by journalist Collin Rugg:

Trump told Obama he had to find a quiet place to speak with him regarding an urgent “matter of importance,” according to the New York Post.

The revelation was made by forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman.

Trump: “I’ve pulled out of that. It’s the conditions. Can you imagine that?”

Trump: “…and after, I will.”

Trump: “Call me at the foy after, yep.”

Obama: “Can you just … it should be good.”

Trump: “I can’t talk, we have to find a quiet place sometime. This is a matter of importance and we need to do this outside so that we can deal with it, certainly, today.”

Trump and Obama’s friendly chat created quite the buzz on social media:
