President Donald Trump posted several impactful Truths on Sunday, starting with a post that said revenue generated from duties will fund a $2,000 dividend for Americans.
In a Truth Social post, Trump proclaimed: “People that are against tariffs are FOOLS! We are now the richest, most respected country in the world, with almost no inflation and a record stock market price.
“401k’s are Highest EVER. We are taking in Trillions of Dollars and will soon begin paying down our ENORMOUS DEBT, $37 Trillion. Record Investment in the USA, plants and factories going up all over the place.
“A dividend of at least $2000 a person (not including high-income people!) will be paid to everyone.”
An NBC News poll found that the vast majority of voters — about two-thirds — feel Trump hasn’t lived up to his promises to curb inflation and improve the economy.
After the election last Tuesday, it was established that the common watchword for the Democratic candidates who won was “affordability.”
But the tariffs are yielding big numbers, according to a FOX NEWS report:
Since Trump announced his “Liberation Day” tariffs in April, tariff revenues have climbed sharply from $23.9 billion in May to $28 billion in June and $29 billion in July. Total duty revenue reached $215.2 billion in fiscal year 2025, which ended Sept. 30, according to the Treasury Department’s “Customs and Certain Excise Taxes” report.
So far in fiscal year 2026, which began on Oct. 1, the U.S. has collected $35.9 billion.
On Truth Social, Trump posted an all-caps declaration on tariffs, writing, “WITHOUT TARIFFS, WE HAVE NONE OF THE FOLLOWING (JUST POSTED) TRUTH!!! President DJT”
In another Truth, Trump railed against the idea that the Supreme Court may rule against him using the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to enact the 10% tariffs on most imports.
“So, let’s get this straight??? The President of the United States is allowed (and fully approved by Congress!) to stop ALL TRADE with a Foreign Country (Which is far more onerous than a Tariff!), and LICENSE a Foreign Country, but is not allowed to put a simple Tariff on a Foreign Country, even for purposes of NATIONAL SECURITY. That is NOT what our great Founders had in mind! The whole thing is ridiculous! Other Countries can Tariff us, but we can’t Tariff them??? It is their DREAM!!! Businesses are pouring into the USA ONLY BECAUSE OF TARIFFS. HAS THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT NOT BEEN TOLD THIS??? WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON???President DJT”
Trump then highlighted his Saturday Truth about the shutdown, urging Republicans to put more money in Americans’ pockets to help with health insurance costs.
“I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE, and have money left over,” he wrote on Saturday.
“In other words, take from the BIG, BAD Insurance Companies, give it to the people, and terminate, per Dollar spent, the worst Healthcare anywhere in the World, ObamaCare,” he added.
On Sunday, he posted a response from Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who wrote, “Now that’s a good idea!!!!”
He went on to write that Democrats are terrorizing US citizens.
“I am sorry that the American People are being terrorized by Democrats who have decided to shut the Government down to make me and other Republicans continue ObamaCare subsidies, which have been a windfall for Health Insurance Companies, and a DISASTER for the American People.
“The largest Health Insurance Companies have seen their Stock Prices soar (Some over 1000%!) since the passage of ObamaCare. Meanwhile, Americans’ Premiums have more than DOUBLED, contrary to President Obama’s promise. I believe that the money should go directly to THE PEOPLE to purchase better Healthcare, and create competition.
“This enrichment of Health Insurance companies must stop. It is long past time to lower Premiums, not enrich Insurance Companies. I stand ready to work with both Parties to solve this problem once the Government is open. Stop terrorizing the American People. Stop pushing failed policies!”
Trump then posted graphics and information supporting his stance as he railed against the “Obamacare scam.”
