President-elect Donald Trump announced on Truth Social Friday that liberal billionaire Bill Gates has requested permission to come visit him at Mar-a-Lago.

Based on his statement, it appears Gates was planning to visit Trump Friday evening.

Gates, 69, who founded Microsoft, admitted in October that he had donated about $50 million to a nonprofit organization supporting Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign.

However, when Trump won the presidential election, Gates wrote in a post on X, “Congratulations to President Trump and VP-elect Vance. America is at its strongest when we use ingenuity and innovation to improve lives here in the U.S. and around the world. I hope we can work together now to build a brighter future for everyone.”

In a rather odd post, Trump wrote on Truth Social Friday morning, “Where are you? When are you coming to the “Center of the Universe,” Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked to come, tonight. We miss you and x! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!! DJT.”

SPECULATION: Could Trump have intended to send this as a text to Elon Musk instead of posting it on Truth Social? By writing, “We miss you and x,” he appears to be referring to Musk’s young son, X Æ A-Xii, who is called “X” and often travels with his father.

Gates is a huge backer of many far-left agendas, including climate change. He also heavily promoted the Covid-19 vaccine during the pandemic, and has called for people to stop eating so much meat.

“I support candidates who demonstrate a clear commitment to improving health care, reducing poverty and fighting climate change in the U.S. and around the world,” Gates told The New York Times in October.

Gates has multiple posts on social media praising Joe Biden for his action on climate change.

Trump’s supporters are reacting on social media to the news that Gates is going to Mar-a-Lago.
