President-elect Donald Trump on Friday called for authorities to shoot down the mysterious drones spotted in New Jersey and across the country, suggesting the government knows more about the sightings than it has revealed.

“Mystery Drone sightings all over the Country. Can this really be happening without our government’s knowledge. I don think so! Let the public know, and now. Otherwise, shot them down!!! DJT” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Reports of mysterious drones continue in New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Philadelphia, and elsewhere across the country, prompting lawmakers from the region to demand a federal briefing. The Pentagon denied foreign involvement in the drones, which have flown near sensitive U.S. military sites.

New York Senators Kirsten Gillibrand and Chuck Schumer, along with New Jersey Senators Cory Booker and Andy Kim, asked federal agencies about efforts to address recent drone activity. House Speaker Mike Johnson received a classified briefing on the sightings Friday, according to a report from The Hill.

There have been active drone reports in the following areas:

  • Multiple towns in New Jersey
