Minnesota’s Democrat governor Tim Walz is facing increasing backlash over the massive amount of Medicare and welfare fraud recently uncovered in the state, while the vast majority of those charged in the schemes are Somalian immigrants.
Monday afternoon, Trump responded to a social media post by journalist Amy Mek, an expert on Islamic culture and extremism, and how Muslims are infiltrating and taking over the United States.
In a post on Sept. 21, Mek had written:
The Somali State of Minnesota: Minnesota is being systematically transformed — its people replaced, its cities turned into foreign enclaves, its future rewritten by mass migration and soaring immigrant birth rates, all by design.

And now Omar Fateh — a Somali-American Muslim and Democratic Socialist — is poised to take City Hall as the next mayor of Minneapolis.
This isn’t assimilation. It’s colonization.
In her post, Mek referred to Omar Fatah, 35, a Muslim and a Democrat Socialist, who was born in Washington, D.C., and is the son of Somali immigrants. Fatah was running for mayor of Minneapolis, but was ultimately defeated by incumbent mayor Jacob Frey in November.

Reacting to the post, President Trump mockingly wrote, “Welcome to Minnesota — Great job Governor Walz!”
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, Trump was asked if he still stands by a former remark, in which he called Walz ‘retarded.’
“Yeah, there’s something wrong with Walz,” the president said, as he blasted Walz for allowing the welfare fraud to take place.

“Countries like Somalia, that have virtually no government, no military — all they do is go around killing each other, then they come into our country and tell us how to run our country. WE DON’T WANT THEM,” Trump declared.
