In a series of posts on Truth Social late Sunday night, President Donald Trump blasted ABC and NBC as fake news for their biased reporting and suggested they should have their licenses revoked by the FCC.
Trump said the liberal-leaning news outlets are nothing more than an arm of the Democrat Party.
He wrote:
Except what is written and broadcast in the Fake News, I now have the highest poll numbers I’ve ever had, some in the 60’s and even 70’s. Thank you. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!
Despite a very high popularity and, according to many, among the greatest 8 months in Presidential History, ABC & NBC FAKE NEWS, two of the worst and most biased networks in history, give me 97% BAD STORIES.
IF THAT IS THE CASE, THEY ARE SIMPLY AN ARM OF THE DEMOCRAT PARTY AND SHOULD, ACCORDING TO MANY, HAVE THEIR LICENSES REVOKED BY THE FCC. I would be totally in favor of that because they are so biased and untruthful, an actual threat to our Democracy!!! MAGA
Why is it that ABC and NBC FAKE NEWS, two of the absolute worst and most biased networks anywhere in the World, aren’t paying Millions of Dollars a year in LICENSE FEES.
They should lose their Licenses for their unfair coverage of Republicans and/or Conservatives, but at a minimum, they should pay up BIG for having the privilege of using the most valuable airwaves anywhere at anytime!!! Crooked “journalism” should not be rewarded, it should be terminated!!!
Law professor and Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley reacted to the president’s comments, explaining why yanking licenses is not a good idea. He argued that censorship is wrong from either side, and said the public is already turning against biased journalism on their own.
Many of us have been highly critical of the bias of the networks in their coverage. However, revoking media licenses over such objections would cross the Rubicon into censorship. The solution is greater competition and it is working… https://t.co/0gGybOSIY9

…I will note that many of us denounced suggestions from Democratic leaders that cable carriers drop Fox News. It was wrong then and it would be wrong now. https://t.co/jxeS3wUhBQ
