Just one day after Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) dropped out of her race for governor of New York – reportedly due to a lack of an endorsement from President Donald Trump – the president has now issued an endorsement for another Republican candidate.
Trump has endorsement Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, who just entered the race earlier this month.
Stefanik announced her withdrawal from the race at 4pm ET on Friday, saying she will no longer run for governor, and is also not running for re-election in Congress.
Less than an hour later, Blakeman announced on X, “I am the only Republican running for New York Governor against failed radical liberal Kathy Hochul. Donate to my campaign to fight crime, cut taxes, put New York First, and defeat Kathy Hochul.”

In a statement on Truth Social Saturday afternoon, Trump wrote:
