TRIBUTE TO CHARLIE KIRK: ‘The legacy will never fade…’

Tributes are still pouring in for Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, whose funeral is being held in Glendale, Arizona Sunday.

Kirk, 31, was horrifically assassinated on Wednesday, Sept. 10, while speaking at a college campus event in Utah.

Over the past 10 days, candlelight vigils and memorial events have been held in honor of Kirk in cities all across the country.

Additionally, TPUSA reported Thursday that in the 8 days since Kirk was murdered, their organization had received over 62,000 requests from high school and college students nationwide to start a chapter or get involved with an existing chapter.

Many who knew Kirk best have posted moving tributes on social media, sharing how he impacted their lives, and vowing to carry on his mission to reach out to young people.

Students for Trump chairman Ryan Fournier shared the following tribute on Saturday:

I’m standing outside of Turning Point USA’s headquarters right now… and the weight of it all is finally hitting me.

I’ve walked through these halls more times than I can count. I’ve seen ideas born here… big, bold, unapologetic. I’ve watched movements take shape and gain unstoppable momentum from within these walls. This place breathed energy, vision, and courage.

This is where we launched Students for Trump. We took on the Left head-on and built something the media said was impossible. And we did it with grit, fire, and an unshakable belief in this country and her people.

Some of the most meaningful friendships in my life started right here. Working alongside Charlie and the entire TPUSA family… it was more than just politics—it was purpose. It was mission. It was about the future of America.

Now, standing here… it’s surreal. So many memories. So much history.

And now, it just doesn’t feel real.

The legacy built here will never fade. The fight continues. And the spirit of this place lives on in each of us who walked through those doors and never backed down.

Another moving scene from outside the TPUSA headquarters:

Tyler Bowyer, who works with Turning Point Action, shared a photo of the place where it all started – the Chicago suburb of Arlington Heights, Illinois, the city where Kirk was born and raised.

The photo is of a small, humble building where Kirk founded Turning Point USA.

“This is the garage that our mail came to for many many years. The home of Turning Point, I visited many times on a sleepy little road that rarely got noticed. I am in absolute tears over this,” Bowyer wrote.

“I really wanted to buy it… I think we should raise the money to,” he added.

The building has been turned into a huge memorial for Kirk, with candles, messages and American flag balloons.

Many people are agreeing that Turning Point USA should buy the building and preserve it.

On the day Kirk was killed, conservative comedian Terrence Williams wrote:

I’m heartbroken. Charlie Kirk passing away is a hard pill to swallow. I never imagined typing this out, it hurts so much. Things will never be the same without him.

He was a great friend to me, he treated me like a brother, opened doors for me and so many others and inspired us all with his unwavering spirit. He leaves behind two kids and a wife who he cherished deeply.

Charlie was a great American, fighting for what he believed in every day. Rest in peace, brother. 💔

Elon Musk added simply, “He was a good man.”

The Heritage Foundation hung a huge banner on the outside of their building Friday, which features a photo of Charlie and Erika Kirk, and wrote, “Charlie Kirk’s name, mission, and legacy will live on for generations to come.”

The banner includes advice Charlie gave to young people: “Get married. Have children. Build a legacy. Pass down your values. Purse the eternal. Seek true joy.”

The Heritage Foundation also posted a video of the banner being hung, and wrote, “We were proud to unveil this banner last night at our headquarters in Washington, D.C. in honor of Charlie Kirk’s life and legacy. Thank you, Charlie, for being an exemplary man of faith, father to your children, and a great American.”

Steak N Shake erected a huge billboard in Rome, Georgia, in honor of Kirk.

In Ohio, someone painted a giant mural on the side of a barn, in honor of Charlie Kirk:

In Huntington Beach, California on Thursday, a large crowd gathered to remember Kirk, waving flags and chanting, “USA! USA!”

Actor Kirk Cameron posted a video message and wrote, “The world is grieving the loss of Charlie Kirk. For me, it’s not just news… it’s personal. Charlie was my friend. He was a man of faith, courage, and conviction who gave everything for truth and freedom.”

Conservative podcaster Brilyn Hollyhand announced he will continue Kirk’s mission of speaking on college campuses.

“I’ve partnered with TPUSA to travel to 10 college campuses this semester to speak with college students. It’s time to be more bold than ever before in honor of Charlie Kirk. Charlie made conservatism cool again by debating on college campuses. We can’t stop fighting,” Hollyhand announced.

Two days after Kirk was killed, President Donald Trump spoke of him during a Fox & Friends appearance, and revealed that his youngest son Barron had asked to meet him earlier.

Trump paid tribute to Kirk while speaking at the American Cornerstone Institute Founder’s Dinner on Saturday evening.
