From the Daily Caller: The remains of 95-year-old “Ten Commandments” actress Dalyce Curry were discovered in her Altadena, California home.

Curry, fondly known as “Mamma D,” perished in the devastating Eaton Fire, the local news outlet ABC7 reported. They reported that the coroner confirmed her death shortly before 6 p.m., Jan. 12. The famous actress was part of Old Black Hollywood back in the ’50s and had been active in the entertainment industry for decades.

Dalyce Kelley was her grandmother’s caregiver on a part-time basis and said she dropped Curry off at her residence at approximately midnight Tuesday. Curry had been at the hospital for the entire day and was tired. Kelley left for the evening to see to her other family members, with no idea that the fire would reach her grandmother’s home at such a rapid pace, according to ABC7.

Kelley said she was awakened by a text alert saying that the power had gone out at Curry’s residence. She rushed to the scene where she found the area already filled with smoke.

When Kelley reached the barricade, an officer told her, “I’m sorry your grandmother’s property is gone. It totally burned down.”
