From Page Six: Tommy Lee Jones and his family issued an emotional statement in the wake of his daughter Victoria’s death at 34.
News broke Thursday that Victoria had been found unresponsive on the 14th floor of San Francisco’s Fairmont hotel early that morning.
The 911 call regarding the New Year’s Day incident, obtained by TMZ, pointed to a possible overdose due to “color change,” which usually refers to cyanosis, a “discoloration of the skin, lips or fingernails caused by a lack of oxygen in the blood,” per the Cleveland Clinic.
Victoria was pronounced dead at the scene despite CPR and paramedics’ efforts. The cause of death is unclear, but there is no evidence of foul play or suicide, and police found no drug paraphernalia.
The family issued a statement Friday, expressing appreciation for concern but asking for privacy.
“We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers,” the family wrote. “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”
The statement was signed by “The Family of Victoria Kafka Jones.”
