THE TRANSFORMATION: Liberals, Muslims Teaming Up To Stifle Little Kids’ Joy

From the Daily Caller: So much for art class.

British schools “have been advised that children’s drawings could be considered blasphemous under Islamic law,” according to The Telegraph. The outlet cites a school guidance document called “Sharing The Journey” issued “to teachers by Labour councils in northern England.”

“[T]hree-dimensional figurative imagery of humans is considered idolatrous by some Muslims,” a version of “Sharing The Journey” reads.

“It is very important that the school understands this and is also careful not to ask its students to reproduce images of Jesus, Prophet Mohammed or other figures considered to be prophets in Islam. Some Muslim pupils may not wish to draw the human figure.”

“Schools have been advised that children’s drawings could be considered blasphemous under Islamic law. Guidance issued to teachers by Labourcouncils in northern England warns that images made by pupils in art lessons may be seen as “idolatrous” under sharia,” the Telegraph wrote.

Duke University professor Timur Kuran responded, “Absolutely insane. In Muslim countries, huge constituencies oppose blasphemy laws (though they may not say so publicly, for fear of reprisals). Ignoring them, Britain’s “progressive” left takes its cues about Islam from illiberal and intolerant activists.”

X user Driftwood, a Scottish and British patriot, warned, “DEATH BY A THOUSAND CUTS! First, it’s guidance to avoid offending religious sensitivities.
Next, it’s removing art, music and dance from public spaces. A society that quietly edits its culture to satisfy religious demands isn’t a free one. Wake up, before it’s too late.”
