From Breitbart: Former President Joe Biden made a rare reentry into the spotlight Thursday to attack President Donald Trump’s landmark legislative victory, posting on X just hours after the “One Big Beautiful Bill” cleared the House.
“The Republican budget bill is not only reckless — it’s cruel,” Biden wrote. “It slashes Medicaid and takes away health care from millions of Americans. It closes rural hospitals and cuts food assistance for our veterans and seniors. It jacks up energy bills. And it could trigger deep cuts to Medicare while driving up the deficit by $4 trillion. All of this to give a massive tax break to billionaires. Working people deserve better.”
The bill, which passed the House 218-214 on Thursday afternoon, fulfills a broad range of campaign promises made by President Trump and cements key pillars of his agenda into law. From border enforcement to tax cuts and regulatory rollback, the legislation touches nearly every issue that defined Trump’s return campaign and marks a sweeping rebuke of the Biden-era federal expansion.
Critics say the bill is too big and spends too much money, but Trump’s supporters say it’s a great way to gain political power. With Congress on board, Trump can make big changes and make sure they stick.
The bill represents “the culmination of months of work by the President and his team and the realization of scores of campaign promises,” Breitbart reported in a separate story.
Republicans passed the bill by Trump’s Independence Day goal, codifying his executive actions and unlocking more legislative action, which Trump considers his crowning achievement, the report states.
In a Truth Social post, Trump called the legislation “one of the most consequential bills ever.”

[T]he legislation manages to include almost every campaign promise Trump made on his Shermanesque march through all seven swing states, delivering wins conservatives never could have dreamed of during the Barack Obama or George W. Bush — or even Trump 45 — administrations.
Although Democrat fearmongering on Medicaid reforms has received outsized attention from the establishment media, the legislation not only extends or makes permanent Trump’s 2017 tax cuts — including no taxes on tips, overtime, or social security – but delivers on Trump’s signature issue of border security.
In many ways, the big, beautiful bill realizes the promise of Trump’s 2016 win, during which the mogul destroyed the open borders globalists’ stranglehold on the Republican Party.
