TESLA TAKEDOWN, PART 2: Far-left university professor involved in protest effort against Tesla [VIDEO]

Disturbing details are surfacing on the participants of a virtual  livestream video call that took place Wednesday night, organized by a group promoting a “Tesla Takedown.”

The group has announced a “Global Day of Action” for Saturday, March 29, and are calling for people to protest at 500 Tesla dealerships around the world.  A flyer urges protesters to “turn out in numbers to fight Elon Musk’s illegal coup.”

One of the key speakers on the “Tesla Takedown” livestream was a radical leftist professor at Boston University, Joan Donovan.

Investigative journalist Laura Loomer recorded the entire livestream, and exposed the professor’s involvement.  Below is Loomer’s report:

Meet “Professor” Joan Donovan. Her handle on X is @BostonJoan! She was one of the speakers tonight during the @Tesla Takedown call where organizers called for 500 anti-Tesla protests to take place at @elonmusk’s Tesla Showrooms on March 29th.

She is the author of a book called “MemeWars”, and she is a “Professor” at Boston University @BU_Tweets. Donovan claims to “study memes” and “disinformation”.

During the call, she said “the most obvious meme that no one is talking about is @ElonMusk’s black hat”, which she says symbolizes “his black hat attack and data heist of our Federal Government.” She called him a “black hat hacker who has broken into our government.”

This woman is a COLLEGE PROFESSOR at Boston University where she teaches “journalism and emerging media studies” in their College of Communication. Unreal.

After being outed by Loomer, Donovan locked down her X account.

Loomer also exclusively revealed that Donovan previously worked for a Soros-funded center:

EXCLUSIVE: Professor Joan Donovan @BostonJoan, who was a speaker during the @Tesla Takedown CALL TO ACTION tonight was formerly the Research Director of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media Politics and Public Policy, where she directed the Technology and Social Change Research Project. Her team researched media manipulation, disinformation, and adversarial media movements.

Donovan worked with the Shorenstein Center from 2019-August 2023.

According to financial records I’ve uncovered, George Soros’s OPEN SOCIETY FOUNDATIONS @OpenSociety has given the Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center @ShorensteinCtr on Media Politics and Public Policy MILLIONS OF DOLLARS to “support the Shorenstein Center’s research on media manipulation tactics and to educate the public about disinformation.”

Many of Soros’s donations were made while Donovan was the Research Director of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Shorenstein Center on Media Politics and Public Policy, proving that her work was funded by Soros and his Open Society Foundations.

As research director during her time at Harvard’s @ShorensteinCtr, she published a number of research papers and books, and she co-authored a study that argued that a significant number of participants in the January 6 protests were driven by their support for President Donald Trump.

Loomer continued:

.@BostonJoan locked her X account after I exposed her tonight, but here are some screenshots from her X account in which she is encouraging people to protest at @Tesla Showrooms all over the world.

She is a professor at @BU_Tweets Boston University and previously worked at the Harvard @ShorensteinCtr, which was funded by George Soros’s @OpenSociety!

But wait… there’s more… Journalist Andy Ngo had posted another video of Joan Donovan in November. Ngo wrote:

.@BostonJoan, a disgraced assistant journalism professor at @BU_Tweets and a campaigner for online censorship, has been trying to encourage the Australian government in its pursuit of the online censorship bill. (The bill was withdrawn yesterday.)

Joan Donovan was fired in disgrace from Harvard last year and her “misinfo” research center was shut down. She infamously was critical of the journalists who documented the BLM-Antifa riots in 2020.

And another… from December 2024. NewsBusters editor Curtis Houck shared a video of a CNN interview, showing Donovan was DEFENDING Luigi Mangione, the man who shot and killed a health insurance executive.

Houck wrote:

Unbelievable: CNN’s Jake Tapper brings in pro-censorship expert and Hunter Biden laptop truther Joan Donovan to sympathize with those celebrating the murder of the UnitedHealthCare CEO.

Donovan says the support for the murder was because for “many of us — it’s almost a universal that we’ve experienced very high cost health care and at our most vulnerable points, have been denied coverage and I think that’s resonating with a lot of people.”

In June 2024, X user “Bad Hombre” shared a video montage of Donovan and wrote, “This is Joan Donovan, a Democrat donor and “misinformation researcher” funded by Soros’ Open Society Foundation. In 2019 she coined the term “cheap fakes” that Democrats are now using to dispute video evidence of Joe Biden’s dementia.”

In one segment of the video, Donovan touts, “Congress relies on people like me to help them understand the stuff that they’re trying to regulate.”

In another segment, she touts the use of “media manipulation”… used “with the intention of tricking someone into believing a certain outcome.”
