A 17-year-old illegal alien was arrested in the Dallas suburb of Plano, Texas last Thursday, November 13, after he attacked a woman with a hammer in broad daylight.
The woman was jogging in Bob Woodruff Park Thursday afternoon when the teen attacked her with a hammer, hitting her in the head multiple times. He fled the scene when she fought back, but police managed to capture him about four hours later, thanks to evidence he left behind, including the hammer, duct tape and other items.
The woman was hospitalized with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. In a Fox News interview, police said the illegal alien first hit the woman in the head with the hammer, then tried to restrain her with duct tape.
The attacker was identified as Sergio Noe de Nova Duarte, 17, an illegal alien from Mexico.

The Department of Homeland Security announced that they have lodged a detainer against Duarte to take custody of him once he is released by local authorities.
DHS said Duarte, now 17, entered the U.S. from Mexico on a B2 tourist visa in 2016, when he would have been about 6 years old. This visa required him to depart the U.S. by September 17, 2016. Additional details about his family who potentially brought him to the US are still unknown.
However, DHS added in a press release:
Sergio Noe de Nova Duarte has a lengthy rap sheet including previous arrests in 2024 for burglary and larceny. Following his arrest in 2024, ICE apprehended this criminal illegal alien, and the Biden administration released him into the country with a notice to appear before an immigration judge in 2026.
“This criminal illegal alien should have never been loose in our communities to attack this woman jogging in a park with a hammer,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “Following this illegal alien’s arrest in 2024, the Biden administration released this criminal illegal alien back into our communities. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, ICE lodged an arrest detainer to ensure this criminal illegal alien is NEVER able to prey on innocent women in our country again.”
