TENDER DISPLAY: Melania Trump unveils her young State of the Union guests

From Daily MailFirst Lady Melania Trump thought it would ‘be best’ if her State of the Union guests showcased how her initiatives were helping Americans in the real world.

A source close to the First Lady revealed to the Daily Mail that sitting alongside Mrs. Trump while President Donald Trump addresses Congress will be 10-year-old Everest Nevraumont and 24-year-old Sierra Burns.

Nevraumont was chosen because she’s an ‘AI education advocate and history champ.’

Burns is a former foster child who is one of the recipients of the First Lady’s efforts to secure housing for those previously in the foster care system.

“This is connecting back to Melania Trump’s efforts in education and technology for American children,” the source said.

Each year, State of the Union guests are invited to symbolize the administration’s priorities.

Melania Trump has championed the issue of keeping children safe from cyberbullying and other emerging technological threats since the first Trump administration, as one of the three tenets of her “Be Best” initiative. The First Lady recently lobbied for $25 million to be included in the 2026 budget for the Foster Youth to Independence initiative, part of her Fostering the Future initiative. The initiative also includes a scholarship program at major universities.

President Trump is expected to make the economy and individual American stories the centerpiece of his address, according to reports.
