TAKING A STAND: African nation’s top general threatens to enter war against Iran in viral social posts

From Fox News: Uganda’s military chief has warned the African country’s armed forces could enter the Iran war on Israel’s side after issuing a series of statements on social media that went viral this week.

Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba — son of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni — who is considered to be his likely successor, has spent this week making a barrage of posts on X in support of Israel.

“We stand with Israel because we are Christians,” he wrote, adding in another post, “Uganda is the David that was forgotten and neglected by the world. We will defeat the giant, Goliath.”

“We stand with Israel because we are Christians. Saved by the Holy Son of God…Jesus Christ the only One who can forgive sins. The Bible says ‘Blessed are you Israel! Who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? He is your shield and helper and your glorious sword.’ (Deuteronomy 33:29),” Kainerugaba wrote on Thursday.

“As our father King David said against the giant Goliath, we say to Iran ‘You come against me with sword, spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of God Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied,'” he added.

“We want the war in the Middle East to end now. The world is tired of it. But any talk of destroying or defeating Israel will bring us into the war. On the side of Israel!” Kainerugaba declared.

“If Israel needs help, it only need ask. Their Ugandan brothers are ready to assist,” Kainerugaba wrote.

“Israel stood with us when we were nobodys in the 1980s and 1990s. Why wouldn’t we defend her now that our GDP is $100 billion? One of the largest in Africa,” Kainerugaba wrote.

Kainerugaba announced his country is also planning to install a statue of Yoni Netanyahu, who was a brother to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The statue will be unveiled at the Entebbe International Airport.

Author Saul Sadka explained: “For those who don’t get the reference, this is the chief of the Ugandan military announcing a statue of Benjamin Netanyahu’s older brother Yoni, who fell in action 50 years ago this July, after Arab and German Marxist terrorists hijacked a Tel Aviv-bound plane and took the hostages at Entebbe Airport with the full collaboration of Idi Amin’s military. One hundred Israeli commandos traveled across Africa to rescue the hostages. They saved 102; four were killed, along with Yoni Netanyahu. The day Israel killed Khamenei would have been Yoni’s 80 birthday.”
