1 John 4:10
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

This verse is a beautiful reminder that the most pure example of love isn’t what we feel with our human hearts – even as good as that might be.
But there’s a greater love, so great we cannot even fathom the depth of it. That’s the love God has for us – a love so deep that He sent his own Son to redeem us and cleanse us from all sin.
