President-elect Donald Trump’s senior adviser and attorney, Alina Habba, dismissed speculation about her taking on the role of press secretary.

In a post on X, she clarified that she’s not considering the position and expressed enthusiasm, saying, “This administration is going to be epic!”

“Although I love screaming from a podium I will be better served in other capacities,” she said.

According to Axios, candidates for White House press secretary include Trump campaign press secretary Karoline Leavitt, former administration official Monica Crowley, ex-ESPN host Sage Steele, CNN contributor Scott Jennings, and RNC spokeswoman Elizabeth Pipko. The press secretary holds daily briefings with the White House press corps, a critical public role. Trump’s new administration reportedly aims to challenge the traditional preference for mainstream media in the James Brady Press Briefing Room.

Axios reports that Trump’s incoming administration is considering granting MAGA-friendly outlets access to press briefings, traditionally attended by major news and wire service reporters. Meanwhile, Trump continues selecting his cabinet in preparation for his January inauguration as the 47th U.S. president.
