SPECIAL REPORT: Rep. Dan Crenshaw erupts with wild, profanity-lace tirade on social media

Republican Rep. Dan Crenshaw of Texas went on a profanity-laced tirade on social media Wednesday night, leading some people to question whether he was even sober.

Crenshaw, 40, has served in U.S. Congress since January 2019. He is a retired Navy SEAL, who reached the rank of lieutenant commander. During his third deployment in Afghanistan, Crenshaw was wounded and lost his right eye in an IED attack.

During his service as a Navy SEAL, Crenshaw was awarded two Bronze Star Medals, the Purple Heart, and the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with valor.

However, Crenshaw has occasionally clashed with other conservatives, and Wednesday night was brutal. It also came during the battle over the pork-filled spending bill, which had included a whopping 40% pay raise for congress members.

Journalist Nick Sortor posted the following allegations on social media:

NEW: DC sources tell me that @DanCrenshawTX is spearheading the effort to get a pay raise for Congress. Last week when he was asked about his stock trading, Crenshaw whined that members of Congress haven’t had a pay raise since 2009.

Crenshaw ALMOST got his way, with a pay increase for members + benefits being included in today’s massive spending boondoggle.

Recently, Crenshaw even said “you have no way to better yourself as a Congressman” without being able to trade stocks. That’s INSANE. THIS GUY is responsible for LOADS of the garbage we see being thrown into spending bills. All for his own benefit. Time for Eye Patch McCain to go.

Crenshaw erupted, writing, “Yeah or maybe you’re a fucking lying piece of shit because I’m not even on the YES list for the whip team. Never have been. But hey, whatever gets you pathetic bottom feeders your click bait. Fucking incels.”

In jumps prominent X user ‘Catturd’, who wrote, “Yeah get it right -Dan Crenshaw is the America-last, Ukraine-first war pig who doesn’t need a raise because of all the money he makes when he miraculously became a stock expert since joining Congress.”

NOTE: Catturd, whose real name is Phillip Buchanan, is a U.S. Army veteran, and is a former guest on Tucker Carlson’s podcast.

Crenshaw then attacked Catturd.

“Anonymous coward like “catturd” talking shit without any evidence,” he sneered. “I’m used to it. Sorry I was guy fighting the wars that little bitches like you would never dare to. One of us has actually served this country and continues to, while losers like you make money being trolls on social media. I live in Atascocita, just outside Houston. If you think I’m “rich,” you’re a fucking idiot. The people getting rich off politics are the “influencers” like Catturd selling their platforms to the highest bidder. Sorry to break to it yall, that’s the truth.”

Catturd fired back and set Crenshaw straight.

X user Jrod responded, “I thought I liked Dan Crenshaw….I learned some things tonight….. I now know that he is a weasel and I will not be supportive of him anymore! Whining about your 175k salary is b!tch stuff! Grow up! Time to get Primaried, @DanCrenshawTX. I like Catturd way better than a scummy Rino like you!”

“Glad you’re finally seeing the real him. It’s not pretty,” Catturd replied.

Buzz Patterson, a retired U.S. Air Force pilot, fired back at Crenshaw, “Catturd isn’t anonymous and he’s also a vet. You know who’s also a vet fighting the same wars you were? Me. I support Catturd’s “shit talking” a million times over what you’ve become. You’re such a disappointment.”

Kylie Kremer asked, “Are you drunk? Can someone in your family take away your phone so you stop posting and prevent you from digging a further hole than you’re already in? Like what is seriously wrong with you?”

Podcast host Shawn Farash wrote, “Keep attacking the people Dan. It’s a great look for a public servant. You’re really helping your case.”

X user TexasDOGE wrote, “If you really want/need a $70,000 raise, then resign and get a job that pays you that much. Question: During this last election, did you actively campaign with the expectation you wanted a raise? Did your constituents know your first agenda item was to give yourself a $70k bump.”

Eric Pedersen scolded Crenshaw, writing, “You’re supposed to be a role model for Americans. You literally represent us. How can you speak this way and expect to be taken seriously. Catturd is an online commentator. You’re a civil servant, for now…”

A video has been re-posted from April 2023 as Navy SEAL Chief Eddie Gallagher shared a personal story, revealing the time when Crenshaw threw him under the bus and refused to help him when asked. The story is jaw-dropping.

Another video is circulating of Crenshaw snapping at a 10-year-old girl who asked a question at a campaign event. The audience can be heard erupting in shock, and many are noting he has serious anger issues.

Crenshaw is being blasted over his social media behavior.

“Crenshaw REALLY exposed himself tonight. This meltdown will haunt him forever,” Nick Sortor declared.
