Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. walked into a lions’ den Thursday, during a hearing before the Senate Finance Committee.
Kennedy was repeatedly attacked by Democrat senators, along with some moderate Republicans, over his overhaul of the CDC, his stance on vaccines, and his policies on how to Make America Healthy Again.
Many of the senators yelled at Kennedy, hurled their own allegations against him, twisted his previous statements and intentions and refused to let him get a word in edgewise.
Several Republicans even turned on the Secretary in multiple “gotcha” moments.
When he did get a chance to speak, Kennedy fired back with fierce rebuttals.
Vice president J.D. Vance later blasted the way the senators treated Kennedy. In a post on X, Vance wrote, “When I see all these senators trying to lecture and “gotcha” Bobby Kennedy today all I can think is: You all support off-label, untested, and irreversible hormonal “therapies” for children, mutilating our kids and enriching big pharma. You’re full of shit and everyone knows it.”
“Thank you @JDVance. You put your finger squarely on the preeminent problem,” Kennedy replied.

In a brazen attack, Republican Sen. Bill Cassidy (La.) tried to trap Kennedy by first asking him if President Trump deserves a Nobel prize for Operation Warp Speed, then turned around and slammed him for questioning the effectiveness of vaccines.

Republican Sen. John Barrasso (Wy.) tried to imply that Kennedy is to blame for the unprecedented number of measles cases, while failing to note that the Biden administration left the border wide open for four years.
