From Newsweek: Trump on Saturday evening announced what he described as a “very successful attack” against three Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.
U.S. officials said the attacks caused severe damage, but questions remain about the full extent of the damage and how much of a setback it is for Iran’s nuclear program.
Trump’s decision to launch the strike drew condemnation from Democrats and some Republicans and fueled concerns about a wider war in the Middle East. Several lawmakers also accused the president of breaking the law because he greenlit the strikes without congressional authorization.
Iran has vowed to retaliate, while the Trump administration has repeatedly warned Tehran that doing so would prompt a prompt military response. America is asking Iran to seek peace.
While the Trump administration has maintained that a regime change was not a goal of the strike, Trump taunted Iran with a message on Sunday.
“It’s not politically correct to use the term, ‘Regime Change,’ but if the current Iranian Regime is unable to MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN, why wouldn’t there be a Regime change???” Trump wrote. “MIGA!!!”
