SICKENING UPDATE: Paralyzed gang-rape victim, 25, dies by euthanasia after yearslong fight for right to die

From the New York Post: The paralyzed gang-rape victim who fought for years — including against her own father — for her right to die ended her life Thursday in Barcelona.

Noelia Castillo, 25, received life-ending medication that put an end to the chronic pain she suffered following a suicide attempt that left her paralyzed from the waist down.

Castillo has been confined to a wheelchair since 2022 — when she jumped out of a window of a fifth-floor building, traumatized by being raped by three men at a state-supervised facility for vulnerable youth.

“At last, I’ve managed it, so let’s see if I can finally rest now,” Castillo told Spanish broadcaster Antena 3 Wednesday. “I just cannot go on anymore.”

Assisted suicide became legal in Spain in 2021. Castillo was approved for the procedure in 2024, but her father exhausted every legal effort possible trying to prevent it.

In a video circulating on social media, Noelia’s lawyer reportedly states that the hospital wasn’t encouraging Castillo to change her mind, because arrangements had already been made for organ transplants.

There was a massive outcry on social media, as many people were hoping Castillo could be convinced to change her mind.
