From NY PostPresident Trump called “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie to offer his support amid the terrifying disappearance of her elderly mother, the White House confirmed.

Trump called Guthrie Wednesday as the hunt in Arizona for 84-year-old Nancy stretched into its fourth day, and offered the star broadcaster support while pledging to make every federal resource available for investigations into the suspected kidnapping, NBC News reported.

Guthrie thanked the president for his call, telling him the family was devastated and needed prayers more than anything, the outlet reported.

“After our interview, the president called Savannah Guthrie and spoke to her, offering words of support for her and her family as they search for her mother,” said NBC’s Tom Llamas after a special report on his interview with Trump.

The White House shared Nancy Guthrie’s photo and information on Tuesday, adding in a post, “Our prayers are with the Guthrie family as we hope for Nancy’s safe return home.”

On Tuesday, Trump commented on Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, telling reporters in the Oval Office, “I think it’s a terrible thing. I always got along very good with Savannah. Very unusual situation, but we’re going to find out.

“I’m going to call her later on. I think it’s a terrible thing.”

Guthrie and Trump’s professional relationship has spanned years, including an interview on “Today” when Trump was campaigning for the 2016 Republican nomination, and a town hall interview they did together during the 2020 presidential election.

Here’s the latest in other news about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance:

RANSOM LETTERS – The New York Post reports:

The FBI is investigating letters from sick trolls menacing “Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie with threats about her missing mother — as the feds are pouring resources behind Arizona police desperately searching for the 84-year-old grandmother.

One letter sent to Guthrie was from a nutcase who said he had knowledge of the abduction — but also included a slew of slurs. The writer also made reference to accused murderer Luigi Mangione and the Jan. 6 US Capitol riot, according to law enforcement sources.

And that’s just one of numerous letters that have been emerging since Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, disappeared from her Tucson home Saturday night.

TRESPASSING CASE MAY HOLD LINK – TMZ reports:

A suspicious man was seen lurking in someone’s yard near Nancy Guthrie’s Arizona home several weeks ago … and police are now investigating the case to see if it’s tied to the mother of Savannah Guthrie’s kidnapping.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department tells TMZ … in early January, an elderly man spotted the trespasser at his Tucson home, less than 10 minutes away from 84-year-old Nancy’s house. The sheriff’s department said the case was forwarded to the unit investigating Nancy’s case for possible leads.

TMZ spoke to the elderly man, who says he caught the loiterer in his yard after a motion sensor went off and a floodlight switched on. We’re told the light spooked the uninvited guest, who fled on foot before anyone could get a good look at his face. The man noted there was no break-in attempt and nothing was stolen from his yard.

VETERAN BROTHER OF SAVANANH GUTHRIE JOINS SEARCH – Daily Mail reports:

Savannah Guthrie’s veteran brother has flown to Arizona from his home in Vermont, as the manhunt for their mother stretches into its fourth day.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was last seen at 9.30pm on Saturday night when she was dropped off at her Tucson home by her Italian son-in-law Tommaso Cioni, 50, after an evening of playing mahjong with daughter Annie, 56.

Camron – who is named for his father who died aged 49 in 1988 – is a decorated military veteran who spent 16 years flying F-16 fighter jets in the Air National Guard.

After hanging up his spurs in 2018, the 61-year-old now flies for the Vermont Air National Guard – a move praised by sister Savannah in a public Instagram post following his retirement.

She wrote: ‘I have never been more proud of my big brother. He has flown for our country for 26 years and continues to serve proudly in the ‘Green Mountain Boys’ — the Vermont Air National Guard.

‘He is the pride of our family and one of this country’s finest.’

GUTHRIE’S NEIGHBOR SURPRISED BY CRIMES – From New York Post:

Nancy Guthrie’s neighbor said violent crime is almost unheard of in the area, as he described the leafy Arizona burb as so safe that there isn’t even a need for streetlights.

“In the 50 years I’ve lived here, I’ve never heard of any crime like this,” Catalina Foothills Association President Tom Pugh told Fox News Digital Wednesday.

“It’s a friendly neighborhood. It’s [a] very comfortable place to live. That’s one of the main reasons I moved here many years ago,” he said, as the community continues to come to terms with the shocking disappearance of “Today” host Savannah Guthrie’s mom over the weekend.
