1) China Building New Military Spy Base Near U.S. Base In Caribbean

From Daily Wire: Communist China is reportedly building a military spy base in Cuba in conjunction with the Cuban government not far from the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, according to newly published satellite images. The images, published by The Wall Street Journal, show that the newest spy base is being built at El Salao, a town outside of Santiago de Cuba.

Construction of the base, which has not been previously reported, began at the start of President Joe Biden’s administration and is “designed to hold a large formation of antennas known as a circularly disposed antenna array, which can be used to find and intercept electronic signals.”

The base will likely have the ability to spy on the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay even though the Chinese are using older technology that the U.S. and Russia quit using long ago, the report said.

2) Jon Stewart: Democrats Saying ‘Get on Board or Shut the F**k Up’ Doesn’t Fix Voters’ Concerns About Biden

From Breitbart: On Monday’s broadcast of Comedy Central’s “Daily Show,” host Jon Stewart stated that the dismissal of concerns about President Joe Biden’s age “also erodes confidence and faith in the system of government. Get on board or shut the [bleep] up…is not a particularly compelling pro-democracy bumper sticker,” and stated that Biden’s campaign has been massively dishonest with its spin about the debate.

Stewart began by saying, “I thought I would take a moment to explain where the concern about Biden’s performance might be coming from, and why these concerns may be seen as a more foundational issue. You see, even before the debate, there had been some troubling moments of disconnect from the President.”

After laying out some examples, Stewart stated, “Then, of course, to be fair, the State of the Union, concern dropped a little bit at the State of the Union, he kind of nailed it. But then the debate happened…to my mind, the debate was a shocking display of cognitive difficulty, recognizable to, unfortunately, anybody who’s dealt with aging parents, and it’s a hard watch.”

3) Mail-in Fraud

From Elon Musk via X/Twitter: “When combined with mail-in ballots, the system is *designed* to make it impossible to prove fraud. Mail-in and drop box ballots should not be allowed, as cameras on the in-person voting stations would at least prevent large-scale fraud by counting how many people showed up vs ballots cast.”

4) Companies are beefing up ’emotional salary’ to address today’s disengaged workers

From Fox Business: Over 75% of the global workforce is either not engaged or actively disengaged at work, according to a recent report commissioned by Gallup — and it’s costing the world economy a whopping $8.9 trillion annually.

As this data demonstrates, boosting employee engagement isn’t an easy feat and some employment analysts are noting that companies are now building up “emotional salary” to increase employee engagement and productivity.

But what exactly is an “emotional salary”? And how is it impacting the workforce? Here’s a deeper dive into this HR trend. “Emotional salary” includes the non-monetary aspects of a job, such as culture, career and work-life balance.

“An employee’s emotional salary is the measure of whether they feel rewarded beyond base pay,” said Caitlin Nobes, head of workforce research, Achievers Workforce Institute who is based in Toronto, Canada.

5) Duke Medical School claims ‘timeliness,’ ‘individualism’ is part of ‘White supremacy culture’

From Fox News: Duke Medical School claims it is “White supremacy culture” to expect people of color to be on time in a strategic plan for creating an “Anti-Racist Workforce.”

The medical school said its goal is to “catalyze anti-racist practice through education,” in a 2021 plan titled “Dismantling Racism and Advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the School of Medicine.” The guide – praised by the school’s dean – called out what it deemed “White supremacy culture,” with its purported nitpicking of being on time, dress code, speech and work style. It also contains a series of negative terminology vis-à-vis White culture.

“White supremacy culture is the idea (ideology) that White people and the ideas, thoughts, beliefs, and actions of white people are superior to People of Color and their ideas, thoughts, beliefs and actions,” the document stated.

The document stated that America is rigged for the interests of White people, who get privileges, i.e. the “unquestioned and unearned set of advantages, entitlements, benefits and choices bestowed on people solely because they are White.”

6) Brandon Johnson blames Nixon:

From Oli London via X/Twitter: Mayor of Chicago Brandon Johnson blames Richard Nixon for the rise in shootings in Chicago after over 100 people were shot during the July 4th weekend.

“We had a chance 60 years ago to get at the root causes…but we ended up with Richard Nixon.”

7) Japan and Philippines sign ‘groundbreaking’ military pact

From Washington Examiner: Japan and the Philippines have agreed to a “groundbreaking” agreement for cooperation between their militaries as both countries prepare for increasing tensions with China.

“With this signing, we look forward to increased cooperation and work … in order to bring greater stability to this part of the world,” Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro said during a Monday press conference.

Their agreement is a signal development in the emergence of a so-called latticework of relationships between U.S. allies, a series of mutually reinforcing relationships that officials in Washington hope will function as a bulwark against China’s potential aggression. The pact, known as a reciprocal access agreement, could fortify the Philippines in an increasingly violent dispute with Beijing in the South China Sea and perhaps even buttress U.S. efforts to deter China from an attack on Taiwan.

8) Florida mass school shooter agrees to give brain to science in stunning settlement

From Fox News: Florida mass shooter Nikolas Cruz has agreed to donate his brain to science in a “unique” civil settlement reached with one of his victims, according to court papers and experts.

Cruz used an AR-15 assault rifle to massacre 17 students and staffers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland on Feb. 14, 2018, in one of the deadliest mass shootings in the nation’s history.

An attorney for Anthony Borges, 21, who was shot five times in the attack, proposed the unusual stipulation.

“I figured if scientists studied his brain they might be able to figure out what created this monster,” Borges’ lawyer, Alex Arreaza, told Fox News Digital. “Maybe there was some kind of imbalance that caused this that we can prevent in the future.”

9)‘Picked The F*cking Wrong Thing’: John Corbett Says He Regrets His Career Choice

From Daily Caller: John Corbett, famous actor best known for his work in “Sex and the City” and “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” admitted he made a mistake by becoming an actor.

Corbett said he regrets choosing his career path and noted “it’s been unfulfilling,” during a recent appearance on David Spade and Dana Carvey’s “Fly on the Wall podcast.” The star has seen great success in his 30-year career on-screen, but said acting didn’t make him happy. “Look, I’m in the fourth quarter of the football game now, in life and in showbiz,” Corbett said on the podcast.

“It’s just a fact,” he said. “So I can reveal now I picked the fucking wrong thing to do with my life.”

10) 2.3 million still without power in sweltering heat as Texas begins cleaning up in Hurricane Beryl’s wake

From Fox Weather: The sound of chainsaws and generators filled the air in communities across the Houston metro and East Texas one day after historic Hurricane Beryl made its third and final landfall, knocking out power to about 2.7 million utility customers and leaving at least eight people dead in the U.S.

Beryl roared ashore near the Texas city of Matagorda as a powerful Category 1 hurricane early Monday morning and pummeled the region with wind gusts higher than 90 mph, a 3-6 foot storm surge and torrential rain.

The storm also spawned numerous tornadoes in Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas as it continued to advance inland.
