1) WATCH: Best of Veep Thoughts With Kamala Harris
From Free Beacon: For more than two years, the Washington Free Beacon has chronicled Kamala Harris’s “Veep Thoughts,” a nod to the vice president’s rhetorical resemblance to the hapless, incompetent politician played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus in the HBO satire Veep.
After all, the Free Beacon warned in January 2022, “President Joe Biden, 79, could keel over at any minute or otherwise lose the capacity to serve as nominal commander in chief. The result, a Kamala Harris presidency, would be hilarious and catastrophic.”
Biden hasn’t quite left the White House. But he has ditched his campaign, prompting Harris’s immediate coronation as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee. What could go wrong?
2) MSNBC’s Joy Reid says Black people will look ‘real weird’ if they don’t vote for Kamala Harris
From Fox News: MSNBC host Joy Reid said on Tuesday that Black people will look “real weird” if they do not vote for presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in November.
“Given just the stratospheric entrance of Vice President Kamala Harris into the presidential campaign, and she has now secured enough delegates to become the nominee, you’re going to look real crazy being on the other side of that line, particularly as a person of color, but really as anyone who claims to have any connection to the culture,” Reid said in a video posted on her TikTok account.
“You’re going to look real weird and real lonely on that side,” she added. “You’re really going to look crazy being on that side given the cultural phenomenon of Vice President Kamala Devi Harris. She’s about to make history. She’s about to become the first woman president.”

4) Nancy Mace withdraws impeachment resolution
From Rep. Nancy Mace via X/Twitter: Strolling straight to the Speaker’s office. Now that Director Cheatle resigned after getting her rear handed to her yesterday and our articles to impeach her, we’re withdrawing our motion to impeach. Accountability is non-negotiable. This is what we call a mic drop.

5) Jon Voight condemns daughter Angelina Jolie’s stance on Israel-Palestine: ‘These people are not refugees’
From The Independent: Jon Voight has criticized his daughter Angelina Jolie’s stance on the Israel-Palestine war, claiming that her views have been “influenced by antisemitic people.”
The Midnight Cowboy star and Jolie, whom he shared with his late ex-wife Marcheline Bertrand, have famously had a fractious relationship.
In November, actor Jolie, who is also a prominent humanitarian activist and former special envoy of the UN High Commission for Refugees, shared a post accusing Israel of “deliberately bombing children, women, families, deprived of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid” in violation of international law.

7) Tennessee among top U.S. states with people in financial distress, study says
From The Tennessean: Tennessee is among the top five states in the country with the most amount of people in financial distress, a new study from WalletHub shows.
According to WalletHub, an account in distress is defined as a credit account that is in forbearance or has its payments delayed, meaning the account holder is temporarily allowed to not make payments due to financial difficulty.
The Volunteer State ranked as No. 4 with a total score of 52.25, coming behind Michigan, Texas, and Nevada. According to the study, Tennessee ranked high when it came to the number of people with accounts in distress and the average number of accounts in distress. Data also showed that Tennesseans showed high interest in search terms such as “debt” and loans.”
8) Demand for tiny homes spikes as housing affordability crisis weighs on would-be buyers
From Fox Business: The housing affordability crisis that continues to trouble would-be homebuyers is sparking an increase in demand for tiny homes.
In response to this demand for more affordable properties, an innovative tiny home community called Mustard Seed Village emerged in Austin, Texas, last year with Amplify Credit Union playing a critical role in its development. Within the year, the village had already reached full occupancy.
Amplify Credit Union CEO Kendall Garrison told FOX Business that he sees the community as an opportunity for people to save more money for a down payment so they can move into homeownership faster and build up their equity.
That’s the main reason why Garrison was eager to provide the lending to make the community a reality, and help renters who are faced with high housing costs and mortgage rates that are still hovering near 7%.
9) More Than A Dozen Sharks Test Positive For Cocaine
From Daily Wire: More than a dozen sharks living off the coast of Brazil tested positive for cocaine, researchers shared in a report on Tuesday.
A total of 13 Brazilian sharpnose sharks were tested by scientists who discovered the cocaine in both the muscle tissue and liver of the sharks, according to researchers from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation in Brazil, CNN reported.
The sharks were chosen both because of their small size and that they live in the coastal waters that are in close proximity to a significant contaminant discharge for their entire life cycle, according to the report. It is the first time the drug has ever been detected in free range sharks, the outlet noted.
The study found that the cocaine levels in the 13 sharks had a concentration as much as 100 times higher than previously reported for other aquatic creatures, the study found.

10) Former Gold Medalist Withdraws From Olympics After Video Of Alleged Scandal Surfaces
From Daily Caller: Charlotte Dujardin, a 39-year-old former Olympic equestrian gold medalist, announced her decision to withdraw from the Paris Olympics on Tuesday via Instagram.
Dujardin explained that a four-year-old video surfaced mistreating her horse “during a coaching session” and that she is “deeply ashamed” over how she acted in the video. “I am sincerely sorry for my actions and devastated that I have let everyone down,” she wrote.
Dujardin said in her social media post that the incident does not reflect her true character and she trains her horses and teaches others to train their horses in a proper way.
The International Federation for Equestrian Sports (IFES) wrote in a press release that they received the alleged footage Monday “by a lawyer representing an undisclosed complainant” of Dujardin “engaging in conduct contrary to the principles of horse welfare.” Dujardin communicated to IFES that she was in the video and “that her conduct was inappropriate.” The former gold medalist requested the organization provisionally suspend her “pending the outcome of the investigations,” the organization added.
