1) Trump Wants GOP Reimbursed ‘For Fraud’ After Biden Exit, Wants Next Debate Aired On Fox News

From Daily Wire: Former President Donald Trump said on Sunday that the Republican Party deserved to be “reimbursed for fraud” after the Democratic Party and media surrogates forced them to spend millions campaigning against President Joe Biden despite knowing full well that he could not make it through another four years in office.

Trump made the statement in a Truth Social post several hours after Biden announced his plan to “stand down” from the 2024 presidential election and to throw his support and endorsement behind his Vice President Kamala Harris instead.

“So, we are forced to spend time and money on fighting Crooked Joe Biden, he polls badly after having a terrible debate, and quits the race. Now we have to start all over again,” Trump said. “Shouldn’t the Republican Party be reimbursed for fraud in that everybody around Joe, including his doctors and the Fake News Media, knew he was not capable of running for, or being, President? Just askin’?”

From Fox News: A pair of plainclothes investigators, who appeared to be federal agents, visited the Pennsylvania home of former President Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks on Sunday – more than one week after the 20-year-old opened fire at a campaign rally.

The men, one carrying a large bag, were greeted at the door by a man who invited them in around 2 p.m. They remained inside the modest Milford Drive house in the quiet Bethel Park suburb for 85 minutes before returning to their black SUV and driving off.

Later the same afternoon, a pair of men in black suits knocked on a neighbor’s door several times and waited. No one answered. They walked to the side of the house and emerged a few minutes later.

The slain shooter’s father has been holed up inside the brick home since his troubled son’s failed assassination attempt that left Trump with a bloodied ear, firefighter Corey Comperatore dead and two others seriously wounded.

From Fox Business: The donor recognized by President Trump during his Republican National Convention (RNC) address Thursday night for contributing $1 million to the family of the man killed during a Trump rally has been identified as Florida attorney Dan Newlin.

A spokesperson for Newlin confirmed to FOX Business that the injury attorney gave the seven-figure sum to the family of 50-year-old retired fire chief Corey Comperatore, who died after being shot while shielding his wife and daughter during the assassination attempt on Trump last Saturday at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

10) Furious GOP set to rain down on Secret Service director

From The Hill: Congressional pressure is mounting on Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle over the assassination attempt against former President Trump, with multiple lawmakers calling for her resignation ahead of a Monday morning hearing with the House Oversight Committee.

Republicans have been the most vocal in criticizing Cheatle; Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) have both demanded she step down.

And, in a stunning scene, a group of Republican senators who were frustrated about an unclassified phone briefing confronted Cheatle at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, demanding she answer questions about the shooting — filming and later distributing the public encounter.
