1) Johnson says world leaders privately telling him they’re ‘concerned’ about Biden

From The Hill: Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said the NATO world leaders he’s met with this week are privately telling him they’re concerned about President Biden and his ability to lead the country.

“All those NATO leaders are here on the Hill as you know,” Johnson told Fox News’s Laura Ingraham on Wednesday evening. “These foreign leaders are coming in, prime ministers, heads of state and they are telling us privately that they are deeply concerned.”

“A weak America is bad for the whole world,” he continued. Johnson joined “The Ingraham Angle” as concerns around Biden’s capabilities to lead the country and beat former President Trump in the election this fall persist.

2) Dave Portnoy mocks George Clooney for waiting 3 weeks after fundraiser to acknowledge Biden is a ‘vegetable’

From Fox News: Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, mocked actor George Clooney for waiting until three weeks after his star-studded fundraiser in which he raised millions of dollars for President Biden to acknowledge he’s “a vegetable.”

“George Clooney, what a f—— hero this guy is, huh? Comes forward today — now, this guy threw a fundraiser, raised tens of millions, co-chair for Biden, three weeks ago. Today comes out, he’s like, ‘Guess what? The guy you saw in the debate, that vegetable, that’s f—— Biden, he’s a vegetable. He was a vegetable three weeks ago.’ Acting like he’s doing some heroic thing.”

Clooney called on Biden to leave the 2024 race in a New York Times guest essay on Wednesday, writing, “It’s devastating to say it, but the Joe Biden I was with three weeks ago at the fund-raiser was not the Joe ‘big F-ing deal’ Biden of 2010. 3) Sen. Rand Paul Introduces Legislation To Provide Oversight For Gain Of Function Research Funding

From Daily Caller: Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul will introduce legislation Wednesday that would provide oversight for gain of function research funding by establishing an independent board responsible for reviewing and approving federal funding for high-risk life sciences research.

The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the legislation, which is titled The Risky Research Review Act. The bill would specifically create the “Life Sciences Research Security Board,” an independent entity “within the Executive Branch.” The Board would provide oversight over life sciences research funding across the federal government to protect “public health, safety, or national security.” There would be nine seats on the board.

The legislation specifically focused on high-risk life sciences research that “could pose a threat to public health, safety, or national security,” including “gain of function research,” research involving “genetic modification” or “synthetic creation of a potential pandemic pathogen,” and “activities involving the collection or surveillance of” potential pandemic pathogens… Read More

5) Whitmer signs the WORST election overhaul bill into law

From BehizyTweets via X/Twitter: Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has officially signed the WORST election overhaul bill into law. This law will stop local officials from conducting recounts to investigate fraud and when fraud occurs, they have to call on the George Soros DAs & Attorney General. Cheating in Michigan elections is now basically legal because no one will get caught. Republicans should immediately sue because this law is unconstitutional.

Michigan’s constitution guarantees voters a right to a recount/audit and specifically states that legislative action can ONLY expand voters’ rights, “The right to have the results of statewide elections audited, in such manner as prescribed by law, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of elections.”

“All rights set forth in this subsection shall be self-executing. This subsection shall be liberally construed in favor of voters’ rights in order to effectuate its purposes. Nothing contained in this subsection shall prevent the legislature from expanding voters’ rights beyond what is provided herein.”

 

6) White House doubles down on electric vehicles as Trump derides them

From Washington Examiner: The White House has announced plans to invest nearly $2 billion in electric vehicles, doubling down on the administration’s EV push as former President Donald Trump campaigns hard against it.

President Joe Biden’s Department of Energy unveiled a $1.7 billion program Thursday to convert 11 closed or “at-risk” auto manufacturing facilities in eight states into electric vehicle facilities. Those states include Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, and Virginia.

“We’re giving 15,000 American workers the chance to keep their jobs,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said on a call with reporters previewing the announcement. “We’re giving the communities who built American cars for generations the chance to build the vehicles of the future, and we’re giving American manufacturing a chance to get off the sidelines and get a better competition.”

The program will additionally lead to 2,900 new jobs, officials said, with most of those filled by labor union members, and could nearly double the annual domestic output of electric vehicles… Read More

 

7) Former Clinton Aide Huma Abedin Engaged to Son of George Soros

From Breitbart: Huma Abedin, the former aide to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is reportedly engaged to Alex Soros, the son of left-wing activist George Soros.

Several sources informed Page Six that the younger Soros, who is ten years younger than she, proposed to Abedin, the ex-wife of former Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY), a convicted sex offender, about six weeks ago.

9) Nearly half of Jewish voters believe NY is unsafe for them, shocking poll finds

From New York Post: Nearly half of Jewish voters have felt at risk because of their religious identity while living in the Empire State — while more than a third said that New York is no longer a safe haven for their people, a shocking new poll reveals.

The survey conducted for the pro-Israel New York Solidarity Network found that 44% of the 1,200 Jewish voters in New York City and other counties queried said they have felt unsafe, as did 67% of identifiable Orthodox Jews.

More than a third — 35% — said they agreed with the statement: “New York is no longer a safe haven for Jewish life and the Jewish people.”

Nearly 40% of the same voters said the US is no longer a safe haven for Jews. The numbers are unsettling given that 1.5 million Jews live in New York state — more than any single place on the globe outside of Israel, the poll takers said… Read More
