SENATE ELECTION RESULTS: Republicans flip U.S. Senate seat to RED, more Senate race updates…

Polls have already closed in some states Tuesday evening, as Americans now wait to learn who will be the next Commander in Chief, and which party will control the U.S. House and Senate.

Especially in focus are the results that will come from the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and  Wisconsin.

As of 8:36pm ET, Republicans have a 97% chance to control the Senate.

WEST VIRGINIA: Outgoing governor Jim Justice has just won his race for the U.S. Senate, flipping the seat to RED. It is currently occupied by Sen. Joe Manchin, who did not run for re-election.

CONNECTICUT: Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy has defeated Republican challenger Matthew Corey.

FLORIDA: Republican Sen. Rick Scott has won his re-election race, defeating Democrat challenger Debbie Mucarsel-Powell.

INDIANA: Republican Sen. Jim Banks has won his re-election race, defeating Democratic opponent Valerie McCray.

MARYLAND: Democrat Angela Alsobrooks has won the Senate seat against Republican Larry Hogan, the former governor of the state.  The two were in a race to fill the seat being vacated by retiring Democrat Sen. Ben Cardin.

MASSACHUSETTS: Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren has won her re-election race against Republican challenger John Deaton.

MINNESOTA: Results Pending – Democrat Sen. Amy Klobuchar is being challenged by Republican candidate Royce White.

 

MISSISSIPPI: Republican Sen. Roger Wicker has won re-election, defeating Democrat challenger Ty Pinkins.

MISSOURI: Results Pending – Republican Sen. Josh Hawley is fighting to hold on to his seat against Democrat challenger Lucas Kunce.

 

NEW YORK: Democrat Sen. Kristen Gillibrand has defeated Republican challenger Michael Sapraicone.

NORTH DAKOTA: Republican Sen. Kevin Cramer has won his re-election campaign, defeating Democrat challenger Katrina Christiansen.

RHODE ISLAND: Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has defeated Republican challenger Patricia Morgan.

TENNESSEE: Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn has won re-election, defeating Democrat challenger Gloria Johnson in a landslide.

TEXAS: UPDATE: Republican Senator Ted Cruz has won his re-election campaign, defeating his Democrat challenger Colin Allred in what was a heated race.

UTAH: Republican John Curtis has won his race for U.S. Senate, defeating Democrat Caroline Gleich. The two were in a battle for the seat being vacated by retiring Sen. Mitt Romney.

VERMONT: Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders has won reelection, defeating Republican challenger Gerald Malloy.

WYOMING: Republican Sen. John Barasso has won his re-election race against Democrat challenger

 As of 7:25pm ET, Donald Trump has a 61% chance of winning the presidency.

As of 7:48pm ET, Republicans have a 66% chance to control the House.
