In early 2021, shortly after Joe Biden moved into the White House, instead of inviting reporters into the Oval Office, his administration set up a fake White House stage where many media appearances were held.
The stage came complete with a fake window behind Biden’s desk, featuring a digital view of the Rose Garden that changed with the seasons. The set was actually located in the South Court Auditorium of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, which is across from the White House.
The stage was used for Biden to deliver on-air remarks and video conference events, and was also where he made a big display of receiving his Covid-19 shot as he attempted to promote the vaccine to the nation.
Background props were changed from time to, depending on the occasion, and the whole stunt was widely mocked by conservatives.
On Tuesday, Trump attorney Alina Habba, who serves as counselor to the President, posted a video announcing she has found the whole room where the stage is still all set up, just as the Biden administration left it.
“We’re in Biden’s fake Oval Office, everybody!” she declared. Habba then revealed she has figured this out, as to why this room was used so much for Biden… it came complete with teleprompters.

In 2022, then-White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki defended the use of the fake stage, saying it make it easier for people to spread out more due to Covid.
