SEE IT: Social media explodes over Musk-Trump fight, with jokes, prayers, and calls for unity

3

Social media erupted on Thursday, in response to the very public fight between former DOGE leader Elon Musk and President Donald Trump.

Nearly all conservatives were disappointed, concerned and appalled over the split between the two.  Some social media users reacted by calling for unity and prayer, or offered advice, while others reacted with humor.

Many people joked about who could negotiate a peace deal, mockingly referring to the fact that Trump has been trying to negotiate peace deals between multiple nations.

Ashley St. Clair, the independent journalist who says she gave birth last year to Musk’s baby, wrote, “Hey @realDonaldTrump lmk [let me know] if u [you] need any breakup advice.”

Investigative journal Laura Loomer quipped, “We need a social media special envoy to help negotiate an end to WW3.”

Loomer also joked that this might be a good time for a career change.

“I have an announcement. I’m quitting politics and setting up a psychic business on Capitol Hill. Bitcoin will be accepted as Tender,” she wrote.

Comedian Kat Timpf joked, “Thankfully we don’t have more women in positions of power. Things might get too dramatic!”

DMLNewsApp founder Dennis Michael Lynch mocked, “Breaking: Putin has offered to negotiate a peace agreement between Trump and Musk to be held at Hamas headquarters in Gaza.”

Cantaloupe News, a political satire account, also mocked, “BREAKING: Hamas calls for a ceasefire between President Trump and Elon Musk.”

X user @amuse joked, “BREAKING: Vladimir Putin has offered to negotiate a peace deal between President Trump and Elon Musk.”

British commentator Piers Morgan offered, “If you guys want to come on @PiersUncensored and duke this out for a few hours, I’ll make it happen.. @realDonaldTrump @elonmusk.”

Comedian Terrence Williams joked, “Since Elon is fighting with Trump. I think it’s safe to say that I’m Trumps favorite African American Again. I finally got my spot back 😂 Thank you Elon Musk.”

Someone created the following AI-generated video meme:

Another comical post is a photo from the White House Situation Room taken on May 1, 2011, during the operation which led to the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Many conservatives called for unity…

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk: There will be a lot of fighting and attacks in the days to come, so I just want to say something at the outset. We should never forget how terrible the environment was online prior to October 2022. No matter what happens, I am grateful that Elon Musk bought X and liberated free speech in America. His contribution to America and to civilization from that alone is immense.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.): Yes you are right. And we’ve seen the highs and lows before. And I too am thankful @elonmusk bought Twitter and gave me my account back after I was permanently banned. And I’m also glad we won the election and Trump is President. Now we have to work it out and continue to MAGA!

Hedge fund manager Bill Ackman wrote, “I support @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk and they should make peace for the benefit of our great country. We are much stronger together than apart.”

Later Thursday night, Musk conceded, “You’re not wrong.”

Scott Pressler: “I’m thankful for both the contributions of President Trump & Elon Musk. We need to stay united as a family.”

Others offered prayers for peace…

Prolife leader Frank Pavone:

Let’s pray: Lord, please pour out your Spirit upon Pres Trump and Elon Musk. Together, they have been changing the world for the better, and the devil hates that. Fewer people are under more attack. Enable them to come through these disputes united and stronger than ever. Amen!

Podcast host Chad Prather:

In regards to Donald Trump and Elon Musk right now….
Father, you are the God of wisdom, justice, and peace. We lift up those in high places and those in quiet rooms of influence, and ask that You silence the spirit of pride and strife. Break the chains of selfish ambition and melt the hearts hardened by division.

Let Your Spirit reign where tempers flare. Replace petty bickering with holy conviction, compromise, and clarity. Remind them that they serve under Your authority, not their own.

Grant them courage to do what is right, humility to listen, and vision to lead with righteousness. May peace prevail where power once ruled.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) wrote:

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.”

Elon Musk and Donald Trump have made, and continue to make, significant contributions to advancing the interests of this country and humanity.

For example, Elon Musk’s SpaceX has emerged as the leading aerospace company, surpassing all competitors, including NASA. SpaceX deserves priority for government contracts, and I will continue to advocate for this. Furthermore, Elon’s acquisition of X reshaped the political landscape, a decision that demanded considerable personal and financial sacrifice.

Both Musk and Trump are exceptionally intelligent leaders.

President Trump has faced multiple assassination attempts due to his opposition to globalism and the military-industrial complex. I was present in the NYC courtroom during his prosecution and witnessed the injustice firsthand. He is a patriot, and I strongly disagree with calls for his impeachment. I also do not believe he was involved with Epstein as a “client.” If such evidence existed, the DNC and Biden’s team would have released the Epstein files during the presidential campaign.

I will continue to pray for both men, hoping cooler heads prevail. The real battle is not among ourselves but against those who seek to undermine the West, our way of life, and push us toward another war.

The Senate still has to send us a final version of the Big Beautiful Bill. Let’s see what happens.

Filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza: “Keeping your team together is one of the great challenges of leadership. Is it even conceivable the Democrats would alienate George and Alex Soros the way the GOP has alienated Elon Musk? It doesn’t matter whose fault it is. This is an unmitigated disaster for our side.”

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) voiced hopes the two would reconcile.
