California’s Democrat governor Gavin Newsom flew over to Davos, Switzerland this week to attend the World Economic Forum, and tried to sell himself as an alternative to President Donald Trump.
Although he hasn’t admitted it yet, Newsom is expected to run for president in 2028.
While at Davos, Newsom met with radical billionaire Alex Soros, son of George Soros, and he’s being widely mocked on social media.
Newsom spoke to reporters and accused European leaders of not standing up to Trump, especially over Greenland, and taunted, “It’s time to stand tall and firm and have a backbone… I can’t take this complicity, people rolling over. I should have brought a bunch of kneepads for all the world leaders.”
Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent literally TORCHED Newsom during a speech at Davos on Wednesday, saying, “I think it’s very, very ironic that Newsom — who strikes me as Patrick Bateman meets Sparkle Beach Ben — may be the only Californian who knows less about economics than Kamala Harris. He’s here this week with his billionaire sugar daddy, Alex Soros.”

On the very same day, Alex Soros posted a photo of himself and Newsom together, and also propped up the governor as an alternative to President Trump. Soros wrote:
“Great catching up with the real star of the 2026 World Economic Forum, my friend Gavin Newsom. So glad he’s here calling out world leaders for believing appeasement works when it comes to Trump. It doesn’t. It only emboldens him to become more chaotic and destructive.
“World leaders could take a page out of Newsom’s book. It’s time to stand tall, stand firm, and stand united — before it’s too late.”

Memes are now being created from the photo of Newsom and Soros. Podcast host Dennis Michael Lynch posted an edited version of the photo, showing Newsom himself wearing kneepads.
“Sometimes an AI imagine is worth a million words,” DML mocked.
Newsom finally got a spot on the stage at Davos on Thursday, where he repeatedly slammed President Trump before a global audience on foreign soil, and help up California as the example of prosperity and leadership.
“In just one year, Donald Trump has done all he can to destroy 80+ years of alliances and partnerships. That destruction is not strength — it’s weakness masquerading as strength,” he brazenly claimed.

In a jaw-dropping stunt, Newsom literally brought red kneepads to use as props during the discussion at Davos, which were customized with a replica of Trump’s signature.
Journalist Eric Daugherty shared a video of the stun and wrote, ” Gavin Newsom brings the “Trump-signature kneepads” to the WEF in Davos so he can give them to world leaders who are metaphorically “sucking up” to Trump. Is this guy freaking serious? He says TRUMP is the immature one? You’re a psycho, Gavin. You’re being mocked.”

Bessent then took another EPIC jab at Newsom, saying, “”I think Gavin Newsom may be cracking up with some of these things he’s saying. I think he may be in over his hairdo … if he brought the kneepads, maybe that was for his meeting with Alex Soros, I don’t know.” 🤣”

President Trump blasted Newsom in a fiery post on Truth Social Thursday evening. He wrote:
Gavin Newscum, as a “Lame Duck” Governor of a Failing State, should not be at Davos running around screaming for the attention of Foreign Leaders, and embarrassing our Country. He made a mockery of himself, and everybody, including his staff, knows it!
He should get the permits so that people can build their homes destroyed by the fire that he could have prevented if he would have allowed water to flow from the Pacific Northwest. He should finish his monstrously “overbudget and behind schedule” Railroad, from San Francisco to L.A., one of the Greatest Public Disasters in History, and focus on stopping Crime in the streets of California Cities — Then finish out his term, and GO HOME!
With a record like he’s got, the ruination of one of the most beautiful places on Earth, where people are leaving in droves, it is unimaginable that he could run for President but, who knows, it’s a very strange World!

X user Mark UltraMaga 1A also shared the edited photo of Newsom wearing kneepads, and wrote, “Proof positive: This is why Gavin Newsom was so obsessed with handing out kneepads at Davos. 🤣 Pink ones for personal use? Guy’s got the full set ready for his globalist donors. Meanwhile, he’s crying about ‘selling out’ while cozying up in Switzerland. Classic hypocrisy.”
