SEE IT: Newsom posts AI video of Trump in handcuffs, X users deliver brutal reminder

From The Hill: California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) on Wednesday shared an AI-generated video depicting President Trump, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller in handcuffs.

The video shows the three sitting on a step outside, their hands behind their backs, as the text, “It’s cuffing season,” appears onscreen. It then transitions to the backseat of a car when Trump, Hegseth and Miller raise their cuffed hands to their faces and they start to cry.

Newsom’s video ends with the men appearing to approach the doors of a courthouse, where police, reporters and spectators are waiting, raising their phones to take pictures. Throughout the video, R&B singer SZA’s song “Big Boys” plays in the background.

The White House had released a similar video on Monday, showing real-life footage of illegal alien criminals being rounded up by ICE.

“WE HEARD IT’S CUFFING SZN. ⛓️ Bad news for criminal illegal aliens. Great news for America,” the White House wrote as a caption for their video.

Newsom then responded to the White House video with his AI-generated video showing Trump, Hegseth and Miller in handcuffs. The same song plays in the background, and the same caption, “It’s Cuffing Season,” flashes across the screen.

Multiple X users are reminding Newsom that he literally signed a law in California cracking down on AI-generated videos.

Another X user wrote, “This can never happen because Trump has lifetime immunity since the Supreme Court found him not guilty.”
