Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, a far-left Democrat who has repeatedly defended the sanctuary city status of Los Angeles, decided Father’s Day would be a good opportunity to blast the Trump administration for enforcing federal immigration law.
Her comment didn’t go over so well with conservatives, who ripped her to shreds on social media.
Bass wrote in a post on X early Sunday morning, “This morning, I’m thinking about the children in Los Angeles waking up on Father’s Day wondering if they’ll ever see their dad again. We’ve heard reports of fathers being snatched from car washes, Home Depots, and swap meets. This doesn’t make L.A. safer. These raids must end.”
As of this report, her post has gotten over 4.6 million views and over 18,000 comments.

Trump adviser and Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller slammed Bass, writing, “If your policy is that we cannot enforce our border, or defend our sovereignty, against anyone with children then two billion foreigners can move here tomorrow and demand free education, healthcare, welfare and public housing. We are a nation, not a boarding house for the world.”
