Contractors have completed their work and the White House Rose Garden now has a different look.
The grassy center of the Rose Garden, where the audience is generally seated during outdoor events, has now been replaced with beautiful stone pavers.
President Trump had explained that the grass is always wet, and women wearing high heels have trouble walking on the grass, as their heels sink into the ground. That problem has now been solved.
Workers started the project in June, and White House officials have now released video footage of the completed project.
White House Press Secretary shared a video originally posted by Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, and included a tease that something is about to happen.
Leavitt quoted President Trump as saying, “We are testing the speakers for what will be the greatest event in the history of the White House!”
The new stone-paved surface is all set up with cafe tables, chairs, and umbrellas, indicating an event is about to be held there.
In the video, Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA” is blasting over loudspeakers.

Below is another video Scavino posted in May, before the renovations started, which shows the Rose Garden’s grassy lawn.

What do YOU think? Do you like the update with the newly-paved surface, or should Trump have left the grass lawn in place? Tell us in the comments section.
